How old is your son? If he's under 18, I think you should take him to the pdoc even if he doesn't want to go. If he's an adult, you may have to let him make his own decisions (even if they are bad ones).

My son is 16 and seeing a development psychiatrist in January (If our car is fixed) it's in the next city over.

How do you tell if your psychotic? How do you keep yourself safe?

When you get to that point, you need the ER. If I was hospitalized for all my psychotic episodes I'd live in the hospital. It's just my heads loud, SI sounds good, thought jumping, low level paranoia, confusion and anxiety.
