Bloating from BP meds. Anyone else get this?

Does anyone else get bloated from their meds? Maybe it's a domino effect stemming from constipation caused by meds. I don't know.

My GI doctor prescribed me Linzess, Miralax, and Align. I'm scared to death of Linzess. I've heard it gives you baaaaaad diarrhea on its own and potentially nausea. As someone prone to nausea, I am even more frightened by it. I don't know if it'll make my bloating worse or not, either.

Align is the probiotic that supposedly reduces bloating. Anyone else try it? I started using it today. It's VERY expensive, but I fortunately bought it online from Rite-Aid on Cyber Monday. They gave me 30% off two 42-count packages. Was still $30 apiece, though!

I'm sorry you're struggling, bluebicycle Have you already discussed this problem with your Pdoc? Maybe he/she can prescribe some meds based on your advice. Remember that you can always try some meds, or meds combinations, and change it later if it's not working for you or the side effects are too much to handle.

I feel bloated a lot from Trileptal, not sure why though

Abilify has me feeling bloated. I have also gained weight on it.

I am currently tapering down in order to get off pf it.

I have also heard about Linzess giving severe diarrhea for some people.

Why not try the probiotic and Miralax and see how you do? It may be enough?

i have had this issue, along with constipation. recently i had a time off antipsychotics totally and my digestive system went completely normal for the first time in years. i haven't heard of all of those meds but i hope you get some relief.
