I want to scream, cut, punch people, and break stuff. Mostly because of hypersensitivity to noise. Of course my family isn't understanding of that and is making lots of unbearable noises and movements. How am I supposed to make it through the day/night? I don't have any PRNs and my usual coping skills aren't working.

Have you tried a long, hot shower? That usually relaxes me even if I'm not upset. How about putting on a movie? Netflix? DVD? Do a search on youtube and see if some cool concerts are on there, or audio books. I recently found one that is 9 hours! I am a bit more than half way through. I listen while I'm falling asleep. (I pause it before I actually AM asleep of course.)

Bose noise cancelling headphones and throw in some custom made earplugs for good measure. I’ve used both.
Thanks for this!

I don't have great advise. It happens sometimes to me too and I live alone so it is easier to stay away from other people when I'm in that mood.

I keep a stash of old ugly thrift store dishes that I can smash in that kind of mood.

To keep clean up to a minimal I often smash them in a garbage bag.

I prefer the ugly Santa plates or the dreaded 80’s dinnerwear.

It helps when I’m coming unglued.

Hope you feel better soon !!
