Right now I feel like a failure, so here are some small personal victories:
- packed my suitcase
- learned a new dinner recipe
- drank water

What are some of yours?

I like this idea; sometimes it is the small victories that really get us through unfortunately I have no small victories to list. I guess maybe I did find out what my heart condition was so I guess we can consider that a victory.

I am really proud that you have had some victories! Please don't call yourself a failure you are a wonderful person.

You are not a failure. Just pushing yourself to focus on positives and accomplishments, of any size, is a huge accomplishment. What you listed is great!

I made a batch of Christmas cookies, with hubby's help. I enjoyed a movie at the movie theater. I did some minor clean up around the house. I took a shower.

I think this is kind of a lovely idea. When I read it it occurred to me that I never stop to think of anything I have accomplished, apparently preferring to focus on what continues 2 B wrong. Or undone. Or unsatisfactory. Or......

Now let's see: I managed to talk myself out of bed and to my morning ballet class, which let me tell you took some doing!

And congrats to everyone above who listed their small personal victories. I believe with all my heart that they matter, and that our efforts to focus on them matter most of all.

Those are great accomplishments you listed! I have a steno pad that I started using when I was coming out of my last big depression to list accomplishments. I have them numbered and dated and I glance over them when I need encouragement or motivation.

That's a super good idea to keep them written down. I'm going to try that!

Didn't overexercise. Feel good/bad about it, but I couldn't run too long; my daughter was not feeling well over the weekend, so I was not sure if she'd make it through school today. Because of my many falls while walking & running, I don't carry my cellphone with me. I carry a super-cracked one that luckily still plays music but has no cell service. I didn't want the school to not be able to reach me if they needed to.

Went grocery shopping for the necessities. We were out of nearly all fresh fruit & vegetables.

Prepped all the fresh veggies for snacks/tossing into a salad. Washed the grapes and got all the little stem pieces out of the grapes not on the main stems. Why in the world is celery such a pain to prep?

Took care of the cats.

Did laundry.

Put up the tree for the holiday.
Did laundry.
Called for med refills.
Picked up meds at the pharmacy.
Made meals for the household.
Played a few quick table games for amusement.

Love to All!

It's always sooo tempting. At least it teaches you to enjoy each individual chocolate.
