I am so sleep deprived because of my mixed state. I am still manic with some depression but the mania seems to be taking over. the mirtazapine didn't help at all. I eventually fell asleep around 3:30 am then woke up hungry about 7 am. I went downstairs and ate and took my psych and blood pressure meds. then I went back up for 2 hours but didn't sleep.

my body wants to sleep but my mind has other plans. I literally forced myself to stay in bed where I proceeded to listen to film scores and podcasts all night. I was so tempted to get up and re-arrange something. being sleep deprived really sucks. and mania with depression mixed in is a catastrophe. I have energy with this mania but without the euphoria or excitement usually connected with my hypomania.

my wife had to cancel dinner plans tonight because I'm a mess right now. I felt compelled to reach out to everyone on PC this morning just to update you all. I hope to try and get grounded and centered today but I know I'm gonna feel like crap all day. today is star wars day so I'll be checking a few of the films out on blu-ray. maybe that'll help.

May the 4th be with you Jedi. I echo your thoughts that there is nothing enjoyable about a mixed state. You are fighting really hard to keep it safe and under as much control as you can. I think that's awesome. I can only hope to be able to do that if I ever find myself in a mixed state again. Thanks for updating us. Keep posting if it helps.

thanks fern46! you have been so kind and supportive. I really appreciate that. I am trying to hold it together and I have an urge to leave the house and drive around aimlessly. but my kids are keeping and eye on me and my wife has my truck keys. I've been drinking tea and messing around on my laptop to try and keep me a bit grounded.

happy star wars day! may the 4th be with you as well. I'm going to watch rogue one now and I hope I can stay focused on it lol. my mind is bouncing around in my skull today. feeling lethargic but my mind is running a marathon. thanks for your support and if you ever find yourself in a mixed state (hope it never happens), we will b here for you always!
