I haven't posted in awhile. So here's what's been going on. My dystonia has been out of control for months now, and my social anxiety and paranoia has kept me in my house for over 6 months. I only leave to see my pdoc. So I'm not doing great, but I missed you all and hope you're doing well.

Thanks for your post, 99fairies. I'm sorry to read that you are struggling with the dystonia. Is your psychiatrist doing anything to try to combat it or rid you of it?

I understand anxiety creating isolation. I've experienced that, too, in the past. I was able to slowly get out more. A good therapist and CBT were what helped me.

hi. here in the US, there's a very new drug...maybe 2, actually...that have been FDA-approved for tardive dyskinesia. maybe they're available in Canada? other than that...

I know it sounds like hippy ********, but some people have (apparently...) been able to reduce TD and other tardive syndrome severity with high dose antioxidant cocktails. i take a lot of antioxidants, kind of Orthomolecular-style, to treat+prevent TD. I had tics before starting the vitamins, and a bit of stiff gait ("thorazine shuffle..." from -atypicals-), and now I"m a-OK, tolerate my full dose Abilify just fine, etc. The big 2 components for treating/suppressing/improving existing tardive syndromes seem to be natural form vitamin E at a high dose and lots of vitamin C...the b-complex, especially b-3 and b-6, play a big role, too.
