Do you think you will vote in whatever big election next happens in your country?

Of course. I think everyone should vote, even if they go just to write in "Mickey Mouse". I think the major election days should be national paid days off from work, if people vote. It is in many countries. Voting and election integrity are supremely important, in my book.

Q: What is a cause you believe in strongly?

I strongly dislike any situation with an abuse of power. Of all of the causes that meet this criteria, the fight against human trafficking is the most important to me.

If you could permanently fix one of the world's problems, which one would you choose and why?

Climate change, because the planet's going up in flames, and the solutions would have stimulus effects on the economy as well.

What's your favourite poem?

When I Consider How My Light is Spent (John Milton).

Q: Do you have a “calling?”

I used to think so before bipolar.

Favourite book?

Infinite Jest, by David Foster Wallace

Favorite kind of pizza?

Tie between mushroom pizza and pizza with rosemary shallot ricotta topped with arugula fresh mozzarella and prosciutto with balsamic vinegar drizzle. My homemade pizza is the yummiest.

Q: What is a funny or unique thing that you can do? Anything (i.e yodel, eat with feet)

Growl like a dog, lol.

Do you like sundried tomatoes?

I detest tomatoes of any kind - it's my least favorite food.

What is your favorite comfort food?

Any carb, which is a problem as I’m supposed to eat low carb.

What is your bedtime routine?

Drinking a glass of water, wash my face, brush my teeth, lay in bed for a hour or more not able to sleep and then finally fall asleep.

What is one of your fears?

Heights! Very much so

I've done this question before but I think it is interesting so how did you choose your screen name?

I like the name Jennifer (I insisted my parents call me that when I was a child) and I was born in 1967.


What is something that makes you happy?

Cooking food and watching other smile when eating it.

Painting or Cooking?

Cooking, definitely! I love to cook and bake and am quite good at it. I can't paint, but admire good paintings.

Q: Of all the types of arts, which is your greatest strength?

I consider cooking and baking a art so that is the art of best at! Unless you count the art of listening

What's your favorite cuisine to eat?

Oh, man. That is a tough one for me. I guess probably I would have to go with Thai. I love all the different crazy flavors. I went to Bangkok once to give a talk and OMG--the food in that city! Ridonculous!!

What is your favorite television show of the current fall lineup, wherever you live?

Emergence. Love that show, its new. I hope that they don't cancel it. Don't think they will, because of the ratings its gotten so far.

What is your favorite candy?

Mounds (and Almond Joy and Snickers, lol).

What is your favorite kind of cookie?

I really love Linzer tart cookies, and especially the ones I make (my recipe). It actually won't be too long before I make them for my Christmas cookie platter. Yum!

What is something on your wish list for an upcoming holiday (birthday, Christmas, Hanukkah, etc.)?

Jewelry. Not diamonds and pearls (although that would be nice). I need jewelry to accessorize with several new outfits I bought. My family always buys clothes for me and I appreciate it but this year I’m asking for jewelry.

Do you have a favorite holiday tradition?

Getting up late ,family breakfast i spent my holidays at home. is there a correlation with love addictiction and bipolar

You know, I'm not sure. I know that when some people are hypomanic/manic they can fall in love with all kinds of things/people pretty easily. I'm not sure if there are a notable number of people with bipolar disorder that have "love addiction" as a general rule. I can say that I have become seriously enamored with things/people when in manic states. Sometimes it has continued on even after stabilization. I don't know that I'd call my cases "addiction". Although maybe to some degree, because there was an element of obsession involved. I had a period of maladaptive daydreaming that included love stories, specifically focused on a certain man. That did die down, eventually. I still have a strong crush on that person, but it's far less concerning now.

Q: Have you ever had a "love at first sight" sort of experience?

I didn't romantically love my husband at first sight, but I knew I loved him. We became great friends instantly. A year went by and we both ended up single. I had left to go back to school for the year, but we stayed in touch and talked all the time. I knew we would be together the moment I came home and saw him again. We've been together ever since.
