I have been both ingesting gummy bears, and vaping the oil.. Some brands work better than others. This stuff does have a tranquilizing effect on me. For me, I think anxiety is the flip side of the same coin regarding depression. So I think to a degree it does help with my depression. I do not know yet if it has any mood stabilizing effects. I do know that when my new puppy destroyed well over $1000 of my possessions in one day, I was able to look at this pragmatically at a more relaxed state of mind. IOW I took it in stride. This surprised me.

Have any of you tried CBD products? How have they worked for you?

BTW I am still looking for my glasses, and a recent purchased of CBD that the dog has hid on me.

Reminds me of college. When I was blitzed on weed, nothing was a big deal. Indeed I'd laugh at it. (Before heading to my pantry for Doritos).

On a serious note, I haven't tried CBD. I will wait on clinical trials.

Here is what is interesting. My search of PubMed,' and a couple studies listed elsewhere, reveals clinical trials have been coming out on use of CBD for anxiety, sleep, including remaining in sleep, pain, epilepsy, inflammation, psychosis, and other uses, like for Autism and Schizophrenia. There is even *some* evidence that there is improvement in cognitive impairment due to mental illness. One study even looked at CBD in managing the addictive use of the THC found in marijuana. I am sure there is more to come.. There is even a couple involving seizure in dogs. So even though the evidence is not conclusive,' the studies to date showed definite positive effects in the above areas.

I do think the studies of the medical use of CBD is very promising, but more studies are warranted.. Studies are happening now as I write this. I want to note here that CBD does not cause the user to become "high", and it is not addictive, according to one study. But CBD is expensive, up to $2 a capsule, and one ounce of vape juice costs about $70. WOW!

Note that *some* of the studies mentioned above did not always involve human subjects..

FWIW

BTW there is a dearth of evidence for improving depression itself. However, there are many current studies being done regarding this MI.

a few places here where I live sell CBD products and I am actually looking into either gummies or CBD oil to take orally. I've read many positive testimonials about it for anxiety and panic. also for general well being. I am definitely looking for a tranquilizing effect for me during daytime anxiety.

One of the problems I have with it is the lack of control of the various products. Lots of different brands and formulations on the market and the consumer has no idea what to buy.
Thanks for this!

Something I've heard is that if marijuana is not legal and regulated in your state, you can't really trust the CBD products. I live in Texas where this is the case, so I've been advised to buy it online from a reputable provider if I try it.

I have just begun to experiment with this. It wont make you “high”if it does not have THC. I was so put off by the doper culture and the taste of smoking weed in college that I came to this slowly. However, the couple men I know that have serious ptsd are forced to use it since they are only just now developing effective treatments for ptsd (EMDR,SGB injections). My usual state is slight hypomania with considerable anxiety under stress. I have been trying 10 and 20 mg Gummies. I find they push aside the fear a lot better than Xanax.. I sleep a lot better. However, I think I will stick to the10mg dose, because I missed 3 appointments, not even looking at my calendar when I was alternating dosages Luckily the appointments were for arthritis. My t would have been concerned. Otherwise she is ok with cbds. I dont want to take these on a regular basis, and wont need to unless I’m under unusual stress.

my concern as well. don't know much about what I need as far as CBD. I'm hoping for someone who can be pretty honest and guide me in the right direction. don't want to be taken. I need it mostly for anxiety, panic and sleep. I've been researching online pretty vigorously.
