Maybe you can get another night in a hotel to recuperate and cool off, either as a breather or before you head back. That or park yourself in the bathtub for an hour!

Many meds make us heat sensitive, or unable to cool down, i know thats my problem, so i try not to get down on myself about it, or catastrophize. Its like, yeah, it WILL get worse if i dont take care of myself, but if i do, it wont.

Glad your husband is taking notice, I hope you can go home early, too, it sounds like you both need it. I hope you can manage to stay cool and rested. Maybe a movie in a cool movie theater if the house is too warm? Or some other activity that is just really relaxing? I can see why your friend's words stung. I'd feel the same. I really hope they figure out what is going on with your health. Any more tests they can run do you think?

I hope you, Hubby and your dogs are all okay today.
If you continue to feel so poorly, please consider going to the ER.

Christina, I imagine that would be a real TGIF for sure. I hope you get to go home at least by then and do whatever you want to whenever you want.

Please ignore that statement about the "not being able to do this or that". She surely doesn't understand. My husband's sisters are constant criticizers. They won't change.

I noticed your mention of a pituitary tumor. I once had a pituitary microadenoma. I don't know the cause of yours, but I wrote "had" because mine eventually disappeared. I never recall side effects from the tumor itself, but had typical symptoms of hyperprolactinemia from Invega (a Risperdal relative). My pituitary tumor disappeared after being off Invega for a while. The experience was a little distressing for me, but I look on the bright side. My bra size went up from a B to a C 😊 I don't know if there is any relationship, but I still do take a large dose of Synthroid, but it's always been my assumption that was due only to Lithium-induced thyroid destruction. I've read of other endocrine meds in cases of pituitary related issues. Really, I know little about it all. I confess that I quit the endocrinologist. My GP monitors my thyroid functioning. My prolactin levels have surely been normal for seven plus years (after going off Invega). I had yet another MRI a few years later (ordered by a neurologist), and the tumor had not returned.

The AC is on 82, by morning the bedroom had to be 90-92 with my husbands oxygen concentrator running.

I’m just going to literally have a heat stroke !

I just can’t put into works how terrible this is for me.

Steve and George are headed out of someone boat in the morning. There many rivers here

Alice doesn’t drive so I guess I’ll need to run her to the store to pick up cards she needs to send out

Otherwise I’m escaping to the bedroom many times, to get a break and hopefully nap also.

I have to get up and take the dogs out each morning , steve isn’t capable of it until after he nebulizes his breathing meds.

I think once we are back home I’m making an appointment to See my GP , I’m constantly boiling hot , no temp and no Med changes and I’m far into menopause where hot flashes should never be an issue again.

Right now??? I have no intention of ever making a trip down to Florida again.

Thanks for the continued support , it truly helps !

OH, OY 82! What's the point? Boy if I were you I'd be sleeping in the car with the AC running. You are truly a saint for putting up with that. OY!

I am sorry you are so ill.
And I am with you about that being the last time you go to florida. Can't you ask them to lower the a/c?Maybe a long movie in an air conditioner theatre would help?
I am glad that you are going to your doctors office when you get home.
Friday can't come soon enough.

Oh, I hear you on heat! Can you ask them to set the AC lower? It seems like a very reasonable accomodation for them to make. Escape to the bedroom as much as you need. Kyboshing future FL trips sounds like a good idea.

You've been a real trooper.

Come ooooon, Friday!

It’s not possible to ask them to lower it , they are struggling on social security.

The closest movie theater is over an hour away.

My Therapist Richard just called, I have my phone on silent, so I missed it and it went to voice mail so called back and i left a message. His message left was he is going to try and call me before he leaves the office. Yes my ringer is on the loudest setting.

I went to another room to call as I just won’t have conversations with Steve around , he’d freak. I came out of the bedroom and he said are you really doing that bad ? I said yes, why? He said “ had I known we wouldn’t have come” ... yeah right! him missing his sons and grand baby ??my missing a chance to see my daughter ? Nope

None of the kids will ever take the time to come visit us. They made a trip about 5 years ago. Amanda about 4 years ago.

His sons travel all around the world but flying to Nashville is just not possible

My daughter unfortunately gets only a week off a year until next year, but her Bipolar has caused her to use most vacation days as mental health days.

It upset my husband and I but there’s nothing to do about it , they are all grown and don’t need us as much.

So now I have a husband that is probably all upset with me at the moment at least until he’s able to calm down, he loves staying with George and Alice and I really like them to. It’s hard for me , so I get to feeling like a burden to steve and just feel like I’m dragging him down too.

Nothing I do is right anymore for this trip !

Omfg!!! George and Alice have unexpected company coming Friday so YES !!! We are defiantly leaving ! Omg I can’t wait !!!!!!!!!!!

I might just survive this bloody trip !

Steve already is talking about a trip per usual at Xmas time. I literally can’t think about it at all right now !

I will be home early Saturday morning !!!!!!

I will give myself a week or maybe 2 and if I’m physically not better I’m going to go to the Doctor. They have got to find out what’s wrong and hopefully help , I do not want to live feeling so freaking sick all the time

I'm glad the end of your trip is drawing near. When you get home, definitely let out a loud "Ahhhhhh!"

I hope any Christmas trip could be to some place just the two of you instead of the family/friends extravaganza. My husband and I go alone on a very relaxed vacation every Thanksgiving. The beauty of it is avoiding family drama.

Our trips are always to Florida to see the kids and granddaughter, and Alice and George.

We did finally take that trip to Savannah back in April that I honestly never thought would happen.

I’d honestly like to take a cruise before I die , but that’s another probably never happen.

I’m just thrilled that there is an end in site !

Yes I did , immediately cried. I have cried during a session maybe a dozen times over 8 + years.

He’s very worried about me because I’m having extremely dark thoughts.

So 2 months more sleeps and the drive home!

It’s so hot and humid here I just can freaking handle.

Im over serving myself some Xanax and neurontin for my lyrica in hopes to sleep most of the night. Waking up in the middle of the nite will be torture!

Friday can’t come soon enough!!!!
