I don't trust my treatment team anymore because they blow me off, but that's a story for another day. However, they do work together because everyone is in the same office.

I'm just starting therapy in a new company and keeping my old psychiatrist. I don't think they're going to talk. I think that's why new company wants me with one of their psychiatrist. I think I'm accidentally taking their teeth out but I really like my psychiatrist. I don't trust my therapist and I have very limited trust in my psychiatrist.

No. There are very few psychiatrists where I live even though I'm near a major metropolitan area. I don't know of any that work in a team with therapists. My therapist does have my doctor's number and I have given her permission to contact their office if she ever has any concerns.

My primary care and pdoc work in the same clinic and share notes and such. My therapist is through betterhelp; which seems to be enough for now.

Mine don't work together or even in the same city but they do communicate if needed. My pdoc used to be the pdoc for the center where I see my therapist and so they know each other even though they haven't worked together in a long time. My pdoc asks about therapy every visit and my therapist asks about pdoc visits. If my therapist thinks I won't communicate a problem well or he is really worried he emails my pdoc or calls her. They trust each other which helps me a lot.

I trust both of them. I've seen them for a very long time which helps with trust and they've both proven that they are trustworthy.

My psychologist and psychiatrist talk on a semiregular basis. Their good communication has saved my life. I've been sent inpatient straight from her office after she calls him to consult. She's very careful. She knows mania is better diagnosed by an MD than a therapist. The same is true for my psychotic episodes. If she sees symptoms in her office she'll call him immediately. He makes the call on admission.

My Pdoc and T work in the same office. They are always communicating when it comes to me lol

Over 8 years for both. I trust them 100%.

I just want to say they work for my county mental care center, so just because your low income , need a sliding scale ? ect ect does NOT mean you can’t find good quality care. I get pissed when people bash community with out actually giving it a try if they don’t have fantastic insurance or the private pdocs and T’s in the area booked 6 months out.

Sorry one of my biggest pet peeves. People struggling with mental health problems but wouldn’t give a Clinic a decent try???? Talk about F’ ing stigma !

Sorry I just saw this nonsense here in the last week and I’m still mad.

My psychiatrist of 12 years+ has always been resistant to working with my therapists. I don't quite know why. Maybe more work than he wants? He does give me a good 20 to 25 minutes (and occasionally more) so heard a lot of what my therapist does. He has his own practice, so no therapists are on the premises. I do see him more often than most. He's super responsive to my calls and has taken note of messages past therapists left for him. He just doesn't want to talk to them.

There was once, over 12 years ago, that I had a therapist that worked in a group with my then psychiatrist. Their cooperation? They both agreed to quit me when I refused to stay in an IOP after a hospitalization. I was then left with no therapist or psychiatrist at that time. I ended up staying in the IOP, who had to help me find both a new tdoc and pdoc. I believe I was returned to the hospital in between.
