What made you suspect that someone was following you? In any case, I'd go to that appointment. Try to go in crowded places, perhaps. Maybe you can ask someone to drive you there? I am not sur. In any case, stay safe! Sending many safe, warm hugs to BOTH you, @spikes, your Family, your Friends and ALL of your Loved Ones! Keep fighting and keep rocking NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS, OK?!

Are you sure these things actually happened? Psychosis looks a lot like this....I had a lot of knocking and I thought people were following me.

Is there any reason someone would be following you like an ex? Did you recognize whoever was following?

I tend to agree with Sometimes Psychotic. The knocking on the door and the sense of being followed is a common occurence here. I've been around less than a year and already know it as a pattern. Either we are the world's most interesting people, or some of these occurences are delusions and hallucinations of the psyche.

I do believe it is possible you heard real knocking and/or that you were being followed. I know at least for one person here he was literally being harassed. I just feel it is a much less likely explanation. At any rate, hiding doesn't really serve a purpose other than to fuel fear and paranoia. If someone were truly after you, they wouldn't let a door or four walls stop them. Rationally speaking the most likely scenario is that you are perfectly safe. Try not to give this more fear than it deserves, or at least try to balance the fear with some loving music or a comedy or something of the like.

I know you use marijuana from time to time. I'd definitely steer clear of that while you're working to discern what is going on. The potential for added paranoia isn't worth it.

Hugs Spikes. We're here for you.

I get this all the time personally. Sometimes, though, people knock because they have the wrong address. Or some other totally benign reason. Or it was some other sound that sounds like a knock. Something next door or across the street or something.

Does your pdoc know about how you are feeling? I am not belittling you . Believe me, I am experiencing similar things almost every day.

Sending you calming vibes and peace.

Btw, Elizabeth Warren has been sending people in the MA, NH, CT, and RI to knock on people's doors at random times to get you to vote for her. I don't remember which door you said it was, but it freaked my sister out because she was like, "who the f*** is knocking on the door???"

So it's possible you were experiencing that? They've been doing that a lot lately around here.

The thing was, when I looked out the window to see who was knocking (I thought it was the police because it didn't sound friendly), no one was there. My pdoc doesn't know jack about what's going on. I have an appointment with her in March. I'm really liking what this ativan is doing, but I wish I didn't need it to do basic tasks.
