I'm bored, so let's have a fun discussion...

I thought of this question because I had lost my Lipitor 9 days ago and just found it. I haven't lost my other ones though. I just don't know why I stuck my Lipitor in my underwear/socks drawer, of all places...? Who knows. But it's a good thing I'm keeping up with my laundry.

I try to keep everything in one place, but alas, I don't put things back where they belong because I'm lazy and disorganized.

It’s funny you say your lipitor was found in your sock/underwear drawer because the other day I found some clozapine in my sock drawer! I didnt check the date but that’s gotta be at least 2 years by now!
Now I keep my meds on the dinner table and take them there too so I rarely lose them, but I have forgotten them a lot when spending the night somewhere else

I do try to keep them all together and that helps. When I was in IOP all the time, a long time ago, I had to carry some with me. One day,I got home, and $1700 worth of Nuvigil (at then-current prices in my market) was gone. I still don't know what happened to it. Because I had an addiction history, everyone blamed me and said I took it all.

My dad who I think was an addict to pain meds but my mom denies it, took one of my Ativan one time to “see how it would work” he wasn’t very happy with himself later. He felt very guilty.

But I looked all over for it and couldn’t find it.

I have misplaced my prns a couple times over the years, but not my base meds. My husband has somehow lost a couple of his medications.

Don't even ask me how this happened, but I legit lost A WHOLE NIGHTSTAND in my parents' house after I built it. It's somewhere in the crowded basement. (Parents are kinda hoarders, so there's lost of s*** piled up high.) It's been over 2 years since I built it and I STILL have not found it to this day.

I’ve never lost medication but my 85 year old mom has multiple times. There is a lesson to learn there. I need to come up with a system.

Great thread!

Only once, but it was a prescription. And of course, it was for Klonopin. I cannot imagine what ever happened to that prescription, as I was taking it from my pdoc's office straight to the pharmacy a mile away.

I called her and she took a fit, saying that she'd have trouble writing 2 scripts for Klonopin for me in the same day.

That's funny! Maybe they gave it away?

I don't think I have ever lost or misplaced psych meds.

I have mislaid creams for my sensitive skin (some are prescribed). I do not have a good system for keeping them in date order. My cupboards are not organised They are also full of other things like toothbrushes for my fangs, stuffies etc

I don't recall losing meds, ever. Although I've had to move my Klonopin around in my dresser drawers because someone got into them, even though I hid them in the sock drawer. That pisses me off...I shouldn't have to hide my pills. I confronted my son about it because his husband is always running out of Xanax, but he denied it. I still think he did it. But I let it go for the time being, and I put them in a drawer beneath my underwear, so if he tries it again he'll have to deal with my delicates and he absolutely HATES the idea that I even have female body parts. LOL

I tend to be a very organized person who always keeps things in their designated place. These days I'm extra careful with my meds because I have three kids under the age of 5. I actually have a locked box for my meds now.

I’m feeling like throwing them all away

But I am far too sensible to do that
