So I was manic Nov- March and then I went psychotic March and April. Now I'm really feeling depressed. Its took me all day to write this its 6:25pm. I'm sleeping up to 13 hours, I'm dying to get to bed and I'm sleeping most if not all of the night, it's getting up I'm struggling with, motivation is real hard at the moment, my body feels heavy, I have no ooomph, I'm just like blah, irritated too.

My therapist says I'm depressed but she can only suggest things meds are for my mental health team but I can't take antidepressants.

I'm just so frigging exhausted.... I haven't showered in 2 days now and I'm still in my pjs

Dear Miss Laura,

Oh, how dreadfully, dreadfully awful for you. I can't even begin to imagine the kind of stress and distress this must cause you. I wish I knew how to help but sadly I am at a loss. Sure hope you will find something that helps you through this terrible ordeal you are suffering ! ! !

Sincerely yours, Yao Wen

I'm sorry to read what you have gone through these past months, Miss Laura. The depression will pass. I hope your psychiatrist finds a good medication strategy to help end it quickly. I can't take antidepressants either, but there are some medications that help me.

If it is of any consolation, I haven't showered in about a week. I hope to tomorrow. It's OK.

I'm not seeing my Psychiatrist until July. My nurse was meant to call but it never happened. I'm hearing from my peer worker tomorrow. I just feel like it's going to be a waste of time. Plus I hate when they say "so what do you think we should do?" Meaning what do I want them to do.... meaning why bother

It would be a really good idea to get in touch with your pdoc/pdoc's office ASAP. July is waaay too far away. I have almost no doubt that you need a med adjustment.

Babe, please take a shower. I’ve found that my day goes soooo differently when I shower first thing. And my mood improves greatly. If I’m depressed, I can turn a 1/10 into a 4/10 just by showering. I know it’s hard to get in the shower, as you don’t want to do anything and your body feels so heavy, but it will make a difference. Trust me!

I'm going to clean myself today. I am stinking pretty embarrassing. I'm speaking to a member of my mental health team today so maybe she could shed some help my way. I managed to get up this morning just before 11am. But although I was in bed for 11pm last night I didn't sleep much ie I was up most of the night

I hope your appointment today yields something helpful, Miss Laura. As for the shower, reading your post actually helped get my tush into mine last night. I did feel a bit better afterwards. I hope you find your way there today, too. Sometimes we just have to run there, get the water flowing and go for it.

My peer worker called at 2:30pm and said I didn't return my CPN's call. I told her and she said she didn't receive any message from receptionist. Meaning receptionist didn't pass it on. This was on Wed it's now end of the day Mon and CPN hasn't called. Is it not the job of my Psychiatric nurse to chase me up?
