I have a grill that I like to cook on, but lately I've not been able to because of well me.

Would you rather cook in summer or winter?

Oh, winter, I guess I really love winter vegetables even more than summer ones. Turnips and rutabagas and stuff. Yum!!

Tough to choose. I guess cheesy, but I have been trying to stay away from it for the sake of my cholesterol. I do like spicy, though. In fact, as I have aged, I've grown to like spicy more and more. I like spicy foods more than my husband does.

I do feel physically ill often. I don't know what to blame it on, but I read I bphope.com article yesterday that indicates that bipolar sometimes shows its head in physical symptoms.

Would you rather be lost at city or snowbound on a mountain?

City, not going to lose a limb that way...besides I’d just ask for directions if I didn’t have an app.

Beef or Lamb?

Yes. Ecuador and Peru only. We were also on Lake Titicaca, but on the Peruvian side from Puno, which also forms partial border with Bolivia. Amazing places to visit!

Q: Have you visited a country or state that you truly disliked?

You know, not really. I once visited really close to the Maine/Canada border and thought I heard the Deliverance theme song playing, but aside from that... I've had pleasant travels.

What is the most exotic animal you have ever seen in the wild?
Thanks for this!

Duck, but it wouldn't be something I'd eat every day. Chicken is basic enough that it is a little more versatile.

Q: What activity tends to give you the most extreme pleasure, other than maybe sex?

Hmm, that is an interesting one. It is probably not like, the most exotic or anything, but I do believe the single best interesting dessert I have ever had is the fresh lillikoi (passion) individually made cheesecakes at La Mer at the Halekulani Hotel on Waikiki, also, I might add, probably the most romantic setting for any restaurant I have been in, at least in my life.

A hotel that you really enjoyed?

My husband and I thought the hotel we stayed in in Loule, Portugal in the Algarve region was the absolute most romantic. The room itself was amazing, but also the view from its huge balcony. We loved Loule so much that Hubby wrote a letter to the mayor there stating so. The mayor wrote back in appreciation. The breakfast was good, but not the best among hotels we've stayed in. The best hotel breakfast we've had was in Cologne (Koln), Germany. That was like eye-poppingly wonderful.

Q: Decribe the restaurant that has/had been your favorite in your life.

Oh, so many. But I guess if I could ask for one more meal anyplace, it might be La Mer at the Halekulani Hotel on Waikiki Beach. Just magical.

Do you eat organ meats ever, or are they gross?

I'm not a picky eater at all, but I don't really like organ meats, and have tried them all (i.e. kidneys, etc.) I have had liver dumplings (made for soups) and they were fairly good, but that's mixed into something. Not straight liver. I do have some liver in the freezer to make for my husband sometime. He likes it. He does like a few things I don't, but is a pickier eater overall. Plus he has a garlic allergy and says some foods make his joints hurt.

Q: Did you or do you have any kind of allergies or sensitivities at all (food and/or other)?

Lactose intolerant here. Didn't used to be...

Is there any food you really wish you could eat that you can't eat for whatever reason (allergies, cost, unavailability where you live etc)?
