7/10 — it’s just hard to start over with a new psychiatrist and therapist who don’t know you yet. It’s frustrating because they don’t have the context of your experiences to understand what colors your world and how you think. My psychiatrist, well...: he does his job. Enough said about him. My therapist is invested, she sees I put in the work and I think it motivates her more because she’s seeing the change.

I'm happy, for the most part, with my medications (psychiatrist). Though I like my therapist, I haven't felt we've made that much progress for a while. I suppose I shouldn't blame her. There's not really much going on, and I'm OK, for the most part. Maybe I need a little break from her. I'm talking two to three weeks.

Did you give him any info to work with to lengthen the phone call? He can't see you so can only go by what you say and in your other thread you made it clear you had no intention of telling him you're hypomanic...

It's a team effort ML.

I mentioned a few other things bipolar related but that was it. It was to be fair 10 mins less than I normally get even if I have issues so God knows. At the end of the day it felt like a useless appt and a very much waste of my time and the clinics phone bill. Could of just wrote a postcard to me lol

I really like my pdoc although I wish that she would be more proactive in managing my low mood. She seems content to leave me be as I’m stable. The problem being that I’ve stabilised in a flat but functional mood.

I’m starting therapy on 30th July and I hope that it helps with my anxiety. My pdoc is unable to treat it with the usual suspects because SSRI’s/SNRI’s make me manic.

8/10 now. It was much lower before then. My pdoc is usually good about listening to me and meeting me where I'm at when it comes to not being comfortable with certain med changes. The only time we did not see eye to eye is when she wanted me to do IOP. My therapist is pretty good now, no major complaints, although she is a little too idealistic at times.
