for me for example: I absolutely hate things like showering, doing my hair, putting on clean clothes, but absolutely love my nails being painted

love the feel of the polish on my skin and I paint them red and afterwards I feel good because red is my favorite color

Exercise is a daunting task, but important part of self care. I may not jog or run but I like to walk; and more importantly;, dance to music I like. Of course I do it alone in my room where no one can see lol. But it’s something that boosts my mood and it’s getting my blood flowing, right?

I do enjoy a bit of dancing but don't do it often
on bad fibro days it's not really an option

One little thing I do almost daily is after I get into my night clothes and go to bed, I put on my night creams. I sort of approach it like a face and neck massage. It feels very relaxing and I enjoy the lovely fragrance of the products. Plus, I really do think they help keep me younger looking. I do this even on days when I don't manage to shower or do certain other types of self-care. I keep these creams in the drawer next to my side of the bed.
Thanks for this!

I change my hair color a lot, and it makes me feel better, especially since I love the process of transformation and feel like a new person.

Having my hair done is one of my favorite things to do. I also like having pedicures. Manis are fun, but I dread the damage done to my nails from manis. Even gel polish on bare nails is so damaging.

Nail salons are locked up tight this summer, though. I have a hair appointment in mid-August, but that's a "maybe", too.

All in all, if I was rock star rich I'd have a hair stylist on my personal staff.

Taking walks, though I don't do it nearly as much as I should because the weather has been way too hot. But during the fall, winter, and early spring I try to walk a lot. It helps my mood and anxiety.

Cooking is something I enjoy too. It feels good to make something that ends up tasting great.

I do a set of stretches everyday, and also meditate daily which is extremely helpful to me.

Painting my nails is something fun I like to do every now and then.

I'd like to get back into doing yoga

They are nice. For my face, I use Oil of Olay original night cream. It doesn't feel greasy and the fragrance really is lovely, in my view. Night creams can be very expensive, but the Oil of Olay "original" night cream isn't that costly and a little goes a long way. I like it so much that my husband buys multiple boxes at a discount from places like Ebay. The "original" is less expensive than some of the other Oil of Olay night creams.

On my neck, I use Gold Bond Neck and Chest. Again, this is far less pricey than many others and also smells good. I truly think this has made a visible difference since starting to use it months ago. Really, my neck and chest were the parts that seemed to show the most age on me.

LOL! It looks like I wrote content for a commercial above. Note that I do not work for either of the companies that make the above products.
