Anyone is capable of not following the bible while claiming they do. It is free will. So sad. Hugs.

Hey @BipolaRNurse

I googled the patient bill of rights and looked for the part about pain:

Quote:
As a person with pain, you have the right to:

Have your pain taken seriously and to be treated with dignity and respect by doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and other health-care professionals.
Have your pain thoroughly assessed and promptly treated.
Be informed by your health-care provider about the possible causes of your pain, and possible treatments, including the benefits, risks, and costs of each.
Participate actively in decisions about how to manage your pain.
Have your pain reassessed regularly and your treatment adjusted if your pain has not been eased.
Be referred to a pain specialist if your pain persists.
Get clear and prompt answers to your questions, take time to make decisions, and refuse a particular type of treatment if you choose.
Total Bullsh*t you were treated that way.

Thanks. I think so too. I'm pretty good at advocating for myself but I admit I was nonplussed at this.

Sadly yes people judge us, I was on a dating website and this man had on his profile “if you are on mental meds don’t bother to contact me, I don’t roll that way” I try not to let random people know I have mental illness cause I don’t need the looks or comments.

Wow. That's cruel - and ignorant. Good thing you knew upfront, though.

This is a great thread. I too have been judged by all of these ever since I first displayed symptoms (except for the police, I have not had any contact with them)
