I used to never have health anxiety but now that is has been months with no answers I am starting to get depressed and anxiety is through the roof. I could sleep last night and this morning I had a panic attack and could barely get out of bed for my therapy session. I have a call into my pdoc for help but I won’t hear from him until later. I don’t know how much longer I can hang on with all of this. I am trying to work but it gets harder every day. I just need answers. It is the unknown that is killing me.

Hugs, Crook. So, like, uh, a med change, maybe?

We have been taking meds away that we think are causing symptoms but it is making my anxiety worse. We have added a statin to help with the heart stuff but we have to give the changes time to work before more testing and changes. 4 doctors and no one knows what is going on. I have to wait until the 23rd before my next test. I just wish there was a faster way to do this without going into the hospital.

I don't know which time zone you're in...did you speak with your pdoc yet?

We posted at the same minute.

Have the health problems become worse since you had covid?

Left a message with both pcp and pdoc. Should hear from them later they are good at calling back. Pdoc once called at 9:30pm so that he got back to me.

It is still up in the air if I had Covid. They are thinking of doing the antibody test to see. But yes it all started around the same time. I have been having liver and kidney issues but they are starting to improve. Now I have heart issues where I could have a heart attack or stroke within the next year. Also my thyroid number has dropped but they decided to keep my meds the same. They want me to do another sleep study. So they are trying to set that up so that I don’t have that stress. I tried last week and it was so frustrating so they are nice to do it even though the place was rude to them too. I am lucky because my dr is supposed to be available 24/7.

Pdoc called. He said I can increase my klonopin if I need to but he wants me to work on it in therapy. He is glad that I am seeing this new therapist twice a week. I think part of my anxiety this morning was seeing this new T.

I'm sorry to hear you're also going through anxiety. It's awful. I'm working my way through therapy and some med changes with it. It's not easy. It's been months for me and mine is only just slightly starting to feel better. Although I have to still face front at work after a rather public manic episode in 2 weeks. I'm dreading it. It seems like you have some plans in place for some of your health issues which is great. You seem very proactive and it sounds to me like you have a really good support structure in terms of medical practitioners taking care of you.

How are you finding your t?

Had a lot of anxiety seeing her it was only the second time. Health problems have my anxiety through the roof. Pdoc said I could double my klonopin if it gets too bad but he wants me to work on the anxiety with my T. I fell asleep in a meeting this morning thank god it was a teleconference and no one noticed. I then took a two hour nap. More klonopin means more fatigue. So what is worse crushing anxiety where I can’t work or so fatigued I can’t stay awake?

Honestly, I wouldn't call what you have "health anxiety." I think your concern is very real, considering the circumstances. You're not worrying about health problems that aren't real. Yours are real (unfortunately).
