I've decided to stay.

I still haven't slept. And I need to be up at 1pm bc one of my cats is diabetic and I have to give him insulin. I love him so much!

I'm glad my son will be here Monday morning. I'm looking forward to seeing him.

Hope everyone has a good day! Hugs to those struggling.

I'm glad you're staying! I hope you enjoy your time with your son.

I'm getting a cat soon, they're the best companions. I've had 3 throughout my life but they are no longer with me

I'm sorry about that. Yes cats make great companions. I'm glad you're getting a cat soon. Sorry for your losses.

I lost my cat midnight 4 yrs ago. I was devastated. He developed diabetes at 15 and couldn't tolerate the insulin. Now I have tiger and Jayden. Tiger is 15 and has diabetes but he is in good shape. Jayden is my black cat. Hes very healthy. I love my cats! They are my handsome boys.

Yeah I miss my son. I think the injection will work out! I'm glad about that. I think I'm gonna make a roast.

Hope you have a good Sunday!

I've watched mass on youtube. I think I googled the name of a church nearby and it took me to their most recent mass.

To answer your question BethRags, I’m hoping tomorrow.

I made it to the store ok. On the way back I got super car sick about 10 minutes from home. It wasn’t helpful that the song Coconut was playing. I found my Geodon on the floor. So I think I forgot to take it this morning so maybe that’s why I was off.

An absolutely beautiful morning. Fresh and breezy. It will warm up this afternoon (wish it wouldn't).

I'm covid-weary. I was doing quite well with the whole thing, but lately I'm finding myself wanting to be able to walk outside without a mask on, smile when I pass someone, go to the river without thinking about distancing, hear a voice, see a face. Wander into a shop.

It's getting to me.

Another year of this...I'm concerned that more harm may be done that the illness itself would do, overall.

x Fingers crossed x for tomorrow!

Yeah, if I take my meds late I will feel sick and generally unwell.

Wondering what's up with the other thread closing early? We were only about a 1/3 of the way through it.

I went to the grocery store today and got milk and cereal. I just had some of the fudge we made Friday. Yummy! It's jeans and a t-shirt weather here today. Sunny. The trees are changing. I remember when N1 was less than two weeks old (her bday is the 13th) the trees were in full color.

Glad to hear things are going well. What's the nature of the groovy weird science project? I'm intrigued.

What a great feeling, to be in your own home. I pray to the universe that we have seen the end of fire season. Sometimes there's rain right around Halloween. I have my fingers and toes crossed.

Haven’t checked in in a couple of days. Not really in a good head space. Just a combo of nicotine withdrawal and hormones I believe. Very annoyed at everything. I just feel like I hate everyone. I’m disgusted with my country. All of it, both sides. I don’t think anything will be better after the election no matter who wins. I don’t want to be here anymore. I want to be as far away from humanity as possible.

I’m having very shameful thoughts. Things I cannot speak out loud to anyone. Not even my therapist. At best I can write them down on a piece of paper and then shred it so no one finds it. That may help just so I can stop fixating on it.

I'm so happy to read that you will stay, Coolbreeze. As I wrote, I would be sad to see you go.

I hope your kitty feels better soon, and that you have a lovely visit with your son.

I am synthesizing a cool organic compound with helpful properties. Super fun organic chemistry. Makes me happy.

Hubby and I made some progress clearing up things for the continuation of the painting of our downstairs. Well, at least I did. Hubby spent more time working on sprucing up a European elk's antlers (my f-i-l's). In his defense, if it looks good enough, there is a slight chance it could fetch some good money. If it does, then I should stop complaining about his side projects, since they may help pay for the "continuation of the painting".

I hadn't talked to or seen my brother in ages. With my move only about two months away, I texted him. He got back to me by phone and ended up coming over to my house. It was a very nice visit. I was also happy to see that his health has much improved. He looks much better and less nervous about his heart condition. He was saying how many of his recent test results were good. I'm relieved! We discussed having a family picnic before the weather gets too cold. That will just be my siblings, husband, b-i-l, nephew and me. My dad will not be able to join us. I have also been repeating over and over, to my siblings, that they MUST visit me in Czech Republic. I think they'd very much enjoy the area I will live in. It's a bucolic environment, which both like. There is a large horse farm within walking-distance that allows horseback riding. That's something my sister has expressed interest in. She loves horses. Actually, how many people don't? My sister and nephews went to Czech Republic for my wedding about 22 years ago, but my brother couldn't since he was in a submarine. I don't think he's ever been to Europe. He's been to other continents, but only briefly as he used to come up in the submarine in various places. He is no longer in the navy, so really should see the world a bit more, and in a much different way.

Today was a pleasant enough day, but tomorrow we're back to being super busy.

Are coffee grounds part of the organic compound?

For 15 years I worked in this wacky, funky old cafe. There was a guy, he came in every week, every single week, for fifteen years to collect old espresso grounds for his organic vegetable garden. Something about acidity.

Wonderful, all around! Imagine living in a submarine. Wild. Was it yellow?
