So I went to get a sleep study consultation. He thinks I would not do well with a cpap machine and would rather wear a mouth piece. He also wants me to start this restrictive sleep process. Something about the chemicals in my brain and out of wack and the sleep hormones and stronger than the sleep ones.
First week I sleep 3am-8am Second week 2am-8am Third week 1am-8am Fourth week 12am-8am That is where he wants me to be at 8 hours consistently. And no naps or laying in bed watching tv or anything. This is going to be tough. |

I have OCD and honestly the only thing that's ever worked for me is a 2:1 ratio of THC/CBD in the vaporizer formulation from a dispensary.

Tough to say the least. I'd be non-functional, plus I'd fall asleep regardless of not trying to.
I can see the logic to the program, though. It resets your sleep clock.

I’d have a hard time getting myself to sleep at 3am. I go to bed between 11:30 and 12 but usually am awake until 5am then sleep until 9-10. Best of luck with that!

I am on cpap and oxygen when I sleep. But I need 9 to 10 hours of sleep. Less than that I go into hypomania.
In the early 80s w a diagnosis of major depression, a psychiatrist tried resetting my sleep cycle by staying awake for 2 days and then into a regular sleep pattern. I only made it through one night. By the morning I was beyond myself and absolutely had to go to sleep. So I did. Never tried that method of resetting my pattern again. Now my diagnosis is bipolar 1 and my current psychiatrist said that is a bad method for resetting sleep for someone who is bipolar and my reaction was not a surprise. However back then I didn't have the bipolar diagnosis. |

I have tried for two nights now and can’t get up after five hours. I might just try 6 hours tonight and see how it goes. This is really tough.
