About 50% of the time, nowadays. Most afternoons before our move. The mornings would be regular American coffee, the afternoons, single espresso. Recently, I reheat leftover morning coffee. As for tea, I used to be a major hot tea enthusiast in my youth, but for some reason that stopped. In warmer months, I do make and love iced tea. Coincidentally, I did make hot tea yesterday afternoon. Earl Grey.

Do you consider yourself a somewhat picky eater? What foods, if any, do you really despise?
Thanks for this!

I am careful not to post anything too identifying about my location and who I am exactly, just for general internet safety reasons. And I'm definitely not worried about anyone I know reading my posts. I just can't imagine anyone being even remotely interested.

It's an interesting question. I'll repeat it..Do you think anyone you know reads your posts, and does that influence what you post?

I don't think anyone I know would come here. If they did, it would be an extreme coincidence. Therefore, I don't limit what I write, except to not provide very personal information. I have never linked anything to this website. I have linked to my blog, but there's no way anyone who reads my blog would see the linkage. No one here has ever been given my real name. Though my husband could see this site if he sneaked on my computer, I know he wouldn't. He's not that type.

I do avoid important topics on my blog and any social media. Doing so there can be dangerous!

How private of a person are you in real life?

I overshare and I’m working on not doing that as much. Do you let other peoples opinions or perceived opinions affect you? If so do you wish to change this?

no, and no.

I don't change for anyone and if people have something to say, they can say it to my face and probably... (more often than not) get something just as harsh back in return. my one problem (that makes me angry) is compliments. I just can't see what good anyone would see in me- and no, I don't want to change that, either. bottom line: I don't see it, so that is the end

question: what is something that you used to be able to do when you were younger which you miss doing now? (something you can no longer do for what ever reason)

Riding a bike. Shoulder injury prevents that now.

Never gone scuba diving but I do wish I could sing like I used to be able to. I did sing in the shower this morning and that was nice. (Sorry couldn't resist answering that one because its a big part of my life.)

If you have grown kids how often do you see them?

My daughter, age 35, has not communicated with me since I went IP in November of 2018. Prior to that we were extremely close. We saw each other several times/week. The entire situation is heartbreaking to me. I believe her husband is encouraging her to stay away from me. It was an argument with him that precipitated my IP stay.

My son is 32 and I communicate with him almost every day. I was seeing him and my dear DIL about 4 times per year (they live in San Francisco now, but were living in Paris previously). Because of stupid covid, we hadn't seen each other for a year - until 2 weeks ago. We finally decided to meet with masks on and we had a fabulous afternoon together.

Do you dream in color?

yes, when I dream. My sleep study showed I'm severely deficient in REM sleep.

Do you have a pet that sleeps with you?

No. I have no pet at this time. We lost him over a year ago. It was gut wrenchingly sad. Even when he was with us he could not sleep with us. He was a parrot. It's too dangerous for them. We would cuddle together in bed a lot, but only when awake. He would have loved to have slept with us, though. In nature, parrot pairs often sleep next to each other.

How many pets have you had throughout your life? What type(s)?
Hugs from:

Too numerous to count! I've had many dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, mice, reptiles, birds, tropical fish, a domesticated squirrel...I hope I'm not leaving anyone out. I've had as many as six dogs at one time in the past, but only have one now. Dogs are my favorite; I haven't always done a good job taking care of myself, but have always taken good care of my animals.

What is the most exotic place you have ever traveled?

The most exotic place was Israel. A bit too exotic, frankly, to my surprise.

Do you enjoy visiting book stores?

Yes I like book stores. Every so often I find a book or two that I'm really interested in. Before covid, I used to hang out there with my friend and we'd read a million magazines or pull out a book that looks good and go sit in the comfy chairs and just read for hours.

What do you do when you disagree with your child(ren)? I hate arguing with them because they'd never say "You know... You're right, Mom!"

Nah, I'm more of a median girl myself.

What kind of things bring you joy?

Yes, I think around four or five times. I'm fairly lucky. The most recent prizes were movie tickets and gift basket with all kinds of Johnson & Johnson products.

What is your favorite fruit?

Yes probably think it's human nature

Question: How do you handle a mental health video call? Do you dress smart or just normal? Do you speak posh or just natural? Are you anxious?

I just dress normally on those calls. Take it, or leave it! I hate the video appointments so much that I stopped seeing my T.
