Hi! I'm 17 and I have major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and panic disorder. I was recently diagnosed with bipolar 2. I'm pretty scared to be in this new world. Frankly, my hypomania is not very extreme but my therapist told me that it could get worse with age. I'm not taking medication for bipolar yet, but hopefully soon. I guess my goal is to meet some people with similar experiences as me.

Welcome. I don't know if you are looking for information or not but there's a really great website that is helpful when you are newly diagnosed,

Psych Education

It's written by a psychiatrist who specializes in bipolar, especially BP2, and has tons of information about the diagnosis, treatments (traditional and nontraditional, research, etc.

Welcome, Marvelousparker! I was only a couple years younger than you when my bipolar disorder really showed itself. The fact that you are learning a lot now, so young, should be valuable for you.
Thanks for this!

Hi Marvelousparker! That's awesome that you learned that about yourself at your age and before a severe episode, which can damage your brain and cause a lot of problems in your life. You have a great opportunity to learn more about Bipolar and ways to stay healthy and stable so that hopefully you never have to go through something like that. Welcome to the group!
