It's extraordinarily quiet right now, save the occasional car or bus going by. I love music, but complete quiet also has its appeal. I learned to appreciate it most after getting past musical hallucinations some years back.

The combo of snow and raindrops falling on the roof of my building/apartment, since the rooftop is flat and not angled (something the architects failed to design when considering pricey apartment construction with little noise control). I can hear everything from the weather to the next-door neighbors slamming things to people in the hallway to the dog barking downstairs to the vehicles driving by.

Christmas music. Specifically a song sung by Frank Sinatra. It's beautiful! I'm not sure how much the other people in the salon understand since Sinatra obviously sings in English.
