I used to wear jewelry. I had a bunch of piercings- nose, daith, cartilage, and industrial- and my bottom lip but took them all out because I was going back to judo. That didn't last so no more piercings.

Do you have dreams and if so how well do you remember them?

I rarely have/remember dreams. When I had a sleep study I rarely went into REM sleep which they blamed on my AP (go figure). Every once in a while I do remember.

Are you taking measures to adjust your spending with the current inflation?

Somewhat. Definitely staying close to home for the fun stuff, and keeping to the basics in the pantry, but my new job (If I get it) will take me about 30 minutes further than the old one. Although, an extra $10 thousand will definitely help with the gas bill!

Lynyrd Skynyrd or Allman Brothers?

I guess Lynyrd Skynyrd because I like "Free Bird" more than any of the Allman Brothers songs. They're not up in my top list of bands, though, but I think their works were well beyond anything written nowadays. To me, too many current singers sound like Taylor Swift, and I'm not fond of Taylor Swift's music. Boring, trite, and unsophisticated. Even rap isn't what it used to be. I'm sure young people would discount my thoughts on this as typical "old fogey". Oh well!

What is your go-to way to relax or de-stress?

Curling up under my weighted blanket

Have you ever taken a pottery class? that was on my to-do list when the pandemic hit and I've still not made it there.

Many times. I love pottery. I’m so so though. Only tried the wheel a couple of times, it’s very hard. I’m better at hand building.

Do you take a day off, just for yourself?

I tried but I never could get into it. It was just the three guys and Penny when I was watching it. I know it developed quite a bit. I just never revisited it.

Do you like podcasts? If so, what's your favorite one at the moment?

I don’t do podcasts as that’s vocal and non captioned.

What do you think is the perfect humidity?

Low. I've handled 105 in the desert better than 85 and humid where I live.

What is the first TV show or movie you remember watching as a kid?

I'm not quite sure of the first, but I think Looney Toons (Bugs Bunny), Gilligan's Island, Mr. Roger's Neighborhood, maybe Mighty Mouse, and Casper the Friendly Ghost are among the first.

Which movie character did you wish you could be?

I think Lyra from golden compass, I’d love to have a daemon. It’s been a long time I can’t recall the other daemons. But that was a cool world.

If you could go on a all expense’s paid 3 month vacation where would you go?

I'd travel through Europe.

What is your favorite candy bar?

Ooh! Ooh! I wanna answer this one too!
I would start in Mexico and work my way south, picking interesting sights and sounds and stories along the way.

Who do you admire and/or respect who's not family or friends?

There are many, but I'll pick Bryan Stevenson. He is an ultra courageous man (a lawyer) who has worked extremely hard for social justice, representing wrongfully accused people on death row and excessively sentenced. He worked to also create wonderful memorials for peace and justice and for people brutally lynched in the past.

What have you done, however small, as a charitable act?

Giving money to charities, giving away stuff we don't need (does that count?) I also try to practise ''random acts of kindness'' - maybe supporting someone (elsewhere) who isn't in the ''in crowd'' and seems to be being neglected (not sure if that counts) (but I have to limit that for my well being.... I got sucked in years ago into some very ''bad'' and harmful, to me, stuff)

favourite sport or game?

Anywhere between 65-75F for me!

Who is the most interesting person you met and/or heard about and what was their story in a few sentences?

I once met someone who had met a former president through work and had become friends with that president (I'm sorry I have to be mysterious but it was through work that was confidendential). They had some neat stories.

Would you eat black licorice ice cream? (It's real. I saw it on facebook. It looks horrible but I hate black licorice).

I dislike licorice, period, but especially black licorice, but my mother quite liked it. Obviously people have different tastes. I would quite likely not like it at all. Perhaps I'd take a taste of someone else's, but never order it for myself. I'm only so-so about ice cream, anyway.

What flavors do you associate with childhood?

Orange and grape crush. I specifically associate it with childhood vacations as my parents didn’t buy soda for our home. So at camp grounds and gas stations it was a treat. Also these little sausages they were pickled and on the countertop in huge jars. I don’t think they make them any more, but dad and I liked them. Them at the swimming pool was banana taffy.

What was your favorite childhood vacation?

One summer we went to Cedar Point. It was awesome. I got to ride Top Thrill Dragster which was the tallest roller coaster at the time (now there's one very similar just a little taller in NJ).

Do you like intense amusement park rides?

Depends on the ride. Normal amusement park ride? Eh. You go a couple of times and you know what to expect. I've also been to those country fairs where the carnies barely maintain the machines and you don't really realize it until you're up close and personal. By that time, you're being shoved into the seat as you mutter a hope and a prayer and off you go. Does an adrenaline rush from intense dread count as like?

What's your opinion on Indian food?

I like it very much, but I don't think I'd want to eat it every day of the week. I like a variety of flavors and culinary approaches.

Which can you tolerate better, hot days or cold ones?
