Hi... I've been having a problem getting much done these last few days, and of course I've been fussing at myself about it. But as I recall, I actually do more than my self-critical system wants to give me credit for. Maybe it would be fun and encouraging to list some things .

Got up, ate breakfast, made the bed, and got dressed.
Went for a 1-mile walk
Took a shower
Put about 10 pieces in the jigsaw puzzle (1000 pieces; it's going to last a while.)
Returned a phone call from a neighbor
Read my daily 2 Bible chapters
Did daily habitat maintenance for my 2 gerbils and 1 hamster.
Made biscuits
Ate my meals at the scheduled times

I wasn't exactly burning up the track, and I'm not sure where the rest of my time went, but I didn't do nothing.

Would anybody else who's having trouble getting going, and despising yourself for it, like to join in this thread? We might motivate each other. If you don't want to join, just send lots of congratulations for getting 9+ things done.

Wow you did alot.

I had a nice breakfast mom made, I took a shower and got dressed, made my bed, watched a movie. Drove home unloaded the car, made myself dinner, and have been listening to meditations on youtube.

After the really frightening and rough day yesterday, with the help of some good sleep, I was able to vacuum my whole apartment. I also hung up a necklace hanger. I took care of the kitties...cleaning boxes, brushing, feeding, washing bowls, taking Sidney's blood to test glucose. Washing dishes seems to never end. Took a large amount of recycling to the bin. Now I'm watching a PBS show about Queen Elizabeth I. So far it's really well done. My challenge will be to be in bed by 11 p.m. and no later.

Got up
Fed the cat
Washed sheets,
remade the bed,
Took a shower
Passed the time
Watched two movies and even paid attention
Filled my weekly meds

slept in felt so good got up at 1030. ready to go to brunch with hubby. had a BELT bacon, egg, lettuce, tomato sandwich on rye bread not toasted with mayo on both sides of the bread. and some diner browns on the side really delicious but fattening.
I love it.
Got home from the diner at 1 pm
started my load of laundry, have 3 to do.
hubby and I went to whole foods to buy organic coffee and frozen veggies cause the freezer was empty of veggies. Went to bed bath and beyond, we actually I did not go in there until after I found a new pair of white scketchers for work I hope they are just as comfortable as the old ones. the memory foam is gone It is all bunched up..
went to walgreens to get some new brushes for my oral b electric tooth brush (those are really expensive )and bought some volteran generic for my knee pains got home and read the box and it said it could take up to a week before feeling any better. and you have to put it on 4 times a day. I took it back and told the guy I would just take advil. And got my refund returned to my visa.

Did some billing for my business. Then was on line for a while.

drinking non alcoholic beer. day 5, gave it up for lent and maybe forever.

Had left over chili for dinner. and some veggies that was delicious at 6pm
started doing some charting, but leaning over to try to see the charts in my filing cabinet, was too much for this pregnant looking woman.
so here I am again on line. Before this I ate some candies left over from christmas that my client's son gave to me. last week, they were delicious, I finished them tonight after dinner and ate 3 pirulettes.
I had a truffle after dinner with hubby.

Finally finished the laundry and folder them and put them away.
It is 10pm and I think we will watch sex in the city Jeff gave it to me for christmas. Last night we finished watching seinfeld. Jeff said he doesn't
want to watch it now maybe tomorrow. rats.
any way I will finish making my way around different forums that I post on and start getting ready for bed.
This is too much for any one to read my blah blah blah.
I won't bore you guys anymore.

You did get a lot done, tentoedsloth. I'm glad you're recognizing that. I know that when any level of depression is around it is an extra accomplishment to do anything. When I was at very low points I used to create "To Do" lists in a priority order and with some items "must do", some "would be great if I did", and the rest "amazing if I could manage". Then, I would send that list to my husband who used to be at work (he's now retired). I would then send him updates throughout the day of items I completed. That helped hold me accountable, to a degree, and he was a good cheerleader.

Right now I'd be doing more if it weren't for some factors. Even so, I am happy with what I've achieved, lately. Yesterday was a less active day compared to ones before it. I did:

- Two loads of laundry
- Put on breakfast and made lunch and a very nice dinner.
- Tidied up the kitchen in between most meals
- Started a shopping list and did some future meal planning
- Did my Czech language course homework
- Did some initial planning for an upcoming trip to France

What a lovely idea for a thread! Well done to everyone for doing so much, despite how hard it can be!
I came home from our trip yesterday so I didn’t do too much but still a few things.
I got up, took the dog out, fed the dog, went to breakfast, walked the dog, drove to an antique and art centre, did some browsing, drove home, watched some football, took the dog out again for a long walk, watched more football, had dinner then went to bed.

Today I hope to do more productive things!
Thanks so much!

Fed my kitty
Took my morning meds so far

I might go grocery shopping later, it depends on the rain because it's raining now and I have wait outside at the bus stop for like 10 min to take the bus there

Congratulations to you too.
Did you make it to bed? Don't bother to answer that if it's on the check-in thread.

@bizi

So you have the harsh inner critic too?

It doesn't matter how long your post is. Since this is just about things we got done today, and probably won't have all kinds of serious stuff your friends need to know, if anyone's in a hurry they can just quickly scan it and say, "Yep, bizi got things done today."

Thank you for your contribution.

@Soupe du jour

Congratulations on getting things done! Sorry about whatever those difficult factors are, and I hope they clear up.

Your past help from your husband is nice. When I had one, he probably wouldn't have participated, or would have done it once and then said he was too busy. One of the reasons he's the ex. So, like all of us probably, you have some good things in your life to make the hard ones a little easier to bear. Mine are... well, this is a what-we-got-done thread and that goes somewhere else.

Hi Pinny,

Thank you for the approval. I love approval!

I remember when I had dogs or cats that most of my to-do lists seemed to be involved with the dogs or cats. But they have to come first, don't they. Second anyway.

@Blue_Bird

Glad to see you posting on here too. You probably got more stuff done... I might put a partial list in the middle of the day and come back and add stuff sometimes.

As we all know, especially the cat, your first item is the most important one. Then comes the second.

Wow, I didn't expect to see all these people posting! I'm going to have to restrain myself replying in the interest of keeping it simple and readable. I just want everyone to know that I appreciate your participation and hope that this is some encouragement to at least some people. It is to me.

So far today I:

** got up, had breakfast, made the bed, brushed my teeth and got dressed
** had a 1-mile walk
** pulled weeds in the front yard for 15 minutes
** took a shower
** put a few more pieces in the jigsaw puzzle
** read my 2 Bible chapters
** sat with a neighbor in her yard for a half hour

I try to go mostly by a schedule (can't really schedule the social encounters, but they are few) and have not been able to do a lot of it lately, but things are looking up. It's 4:30 pm and I'm up to the noon event. Hours to go...
I know I shouldn't worry about staying on the schedule at a lower-energy time. I had put the less important things in the late evening anyway.

I was able to take a shower when I got up. I went almost a week without showering Then I finally put up blackout curtains and a new curtain rod in my bedroom. The rod and curtains had been sitting on the floor for months. I just couldn't get myself to put them up. They're 100% blackout, so hopefully now I can sleep better.

That's progress, isn't it? Thank you for sharing it here. Have a good night.

Did that mention go through? I couldn't get the "O" to be capitalized. ???

I was sort of tired yesterday after accidentally taking my evening meds in the morning, but I still:

1. Did a load of laundry
2. Put/made three meals on the table
3. Tidied the kitchen
4. Put out the trash
5. Studied a little Czech
6. Made a yeast raised Easter bread from scratch

So far today:

1. Took a long walk downtown
2. Waiting and waiting and waiting outside or in the car for Hubby's appointment to end. So far almost three hours and counting. Could be a lot worse considering what Ukrainians are dealing with. I had scheduled a food delivery for between 12 and 1 pm (wishful thinking), but Hubby is calling them for a delay as it is 11:30 am at this moment and no sign of him being done. We arrived at 9 am.
3. Some Czech language study

Got dressed right away, first thing this morning cause my sister was here. It usually takes me most of the morning to face getting dressed for the day.

Washed the dishes
Got the litter downstairs
Went grocery shopping, think I remembered everything
Got gas, wowsa it’s high!

Taxes.

Specifically, United States income tax.

I did some other things but this is the one that's busting my brain. But now all that's left is checking it over, when I've had a day or so to calm down and start seeing straight.
