How much to put up with? My pdoc is not responding to my messages directly. I had to call the office which is a pain on it's own (they don't always answer) and they contacted the doc with my questions and got back to me.
My question is how normal is this? Is it worth putting up with? I get free Vraylar, but i only get one month supply of my Sertraline ...wait, i get one month of vraylar too. Im just really frustrated and anxious. Is this normal? How do y'all cope with the anxiety of managing your doctors? Thanks.

At least with my OB/gyn's office and my primary Dr's too you call and get a recording. One of the choices you can pick is to speak to a nurse if you have clinical symptoms. Other than that you talk to whoever answers the phone and they take a message and then call you back with an answer. Even when I call with a message or question for my pdoc someone who answers the phone emails pdoc my concern and then pdoc may or may not call back- it depends on how busy she is. It also depends on how serious the nature of my call is. Same goes for my OB/GYN' and my primary doctor's offices .
How serious is the nature of your call? My pdoc's office has a service that you can call when the office is closed. They can tell you if it sounds like you should call 911.

I am sorry you are experiencing this frustration.
I know that if I needed my provider I would simply call the office and someone would get back to me as soon as possible. I have never had to call this new provider. She is a nurse practitioner with psych credentials. I like her better than my old PDOC because she is all about the meds and doesn't try to be my therapist. She asks me if I have had any mania or depression. I say no and it takes about 5 minutes because I am stable. bizi ![]()

I have a therapist that can get ahold of my pdoc, a nurses line who takes up to 2 days to get back to me. There's no way for me to get to him faster. If I need a pdoc sooner I have to go to the ER.

My pdoc has a nurse and it is the nurse I call if I have a question. The nurse speaks with the pdoc, then calls me. I'm very, very fortunate because the nurse is so conscientious about doing her job. I cannot ever speak directly with my pdoc between appointments.
