Not new to the disorder, just to doing chat about it. Have had bipolar II for 10 years now and it has really messed up my life. This week has not been good - been sleeping lots, my emotions are all over the place and I feel confused about what to do most of the time. Today I called in work because I couldn't face it. Just HAD to talk to someone, somehow........and this was it.

I am also bipolar 2 and I know how you feel , you just described the way I am feeling right now. I have to force myself to go out of the house and socialize and go to my volunteering job at the hospital.

This a wonderful forum and I know there are others that can help you and share their sucess stories with you. Chat is also a great place to go if you want to talk about your feelings and share what drugs helped you.

Take care,
Leslie

Thanks everyone for the support. Yesterday at work all I did was cry and couldn't stop. Had to work 12 hours that way, taking care of patients. They wouldn't let me go home. I called in today and they were really mad. I'm about ready to lose my job due to so many absences. Has anybody here every tried to get on disability for this?

Hi, I am Bipolar-II (mild) too, was DXed 4 years ago, been on various meds since, do you see a pdoc?
Have you been taking your meds, or maybe need new or a readjustment in them?
I am glad you dropped by, and you are welcomed aboard New to this...
As a form of support at the present, I would suggest calling your pdoc and/or therapist if this feeling doesn't subside in a few days, it is best to "nip it in the bud" before it goes too far.
Meanwhile take care and always feel free to come and talk, even try our "chat" option, I find evenings is when it is more active there New to this...

Good Wishes to you

Hi, Wildfire 58

I do hope things begin to get better soon. This is really a good source of support, and I send my best in regards to the deppressive symptoms that are effecting your work.

I do hope if you have a Pdoc they can help regulate you med's to help you have a more stable mood.

Best Wishes, Chris
