A pleasant bird chirping.

It's odd how often I hear birds so late in the evening in Czech Republic. It's now 8:30 pm. At this time in New Jersey, most all of the birds would be sleeping at such an hour.

I have watched a YouTube slideshow with her pictures and this song. And read the translation of the lyrics. How adorable! Thanks @Beth

@Soupe du jour, have you seen a sleep medicine doctor about your snoring? I snored, was seen and evaluated with a sleep study, now use a BiPAP machine and no longer snore. But what is more important, I no longer have symptoms of sleep apnea. I used to have apneas every minute during REM sleep and now I have 0.8 apnea events an hour. It is considered a norm to have 5 or fewer apnea events and I have 0.8 so I am basically healthy. Untreated sleep apnea is very dangerous. Get you and your hubby evaluated by a sleep medicine clinic!

That's great you got your sleep apnea under control. I'll keep your suggestion in mind. I'm first going to try again to lose some weight and see how that goes. When I'm thinner I stop (or nearly stop) snoring. Also, I need to have my sinusitis better addressed. That could be another factor for me. Spring is terrible for my allergies.

Regarding sinus problems - I had a surgery to correct various abnormalities in my nasal area and that enabled me to use the sleep apnea machine. Prior to the surgery I couldn't. I forgot to mention that. But yes, losing weight is always good.

Miles Davis' Kind of Blue album. Featured a kind of jazz supergroup with John Coltrane and Cannonball Adderley (among others) backing Davis up.

, a personal favorite from the album.
