Yes, I got chills and sick to my stomach. I’d keep throwing up even after I had nothing else to throw up. Strong smells could trigger me too. I remember at the Mayo Clinic they were doing an eeg test and the glue they used was so strong and the florescent lights flickering and I was so scared that they were going to electrocute me because no one explained to nine yr old me what they were doing and they were sticking wires all over my head. All that triggered one.

I couldn’t stand clothes on, I’d strip and go lay on the bathroom floor in the dark because it was the darkest coolest place in the house. My dog would come in and lay close to me but not touching me.

Everything was magnified a hundredfold lights were to bright, anything touching me was too much, sounds were too loud.

I'm sorry you've had such painful and frightening experiences, Nammu.

I’m just so glad I no longer get them. When I was in my 50’s I got septic and was in the hospital for over a week on multiple hard core antibiotics and when I recovered I had gone though menopause and haven’t had a migraine since. I do wonder if the antibiotics have anything to do with it since there’s so much speculation about inflammatory origins of bipolar and migraines. My bipolar has been smoother since then too. The highs and lows less dramatic.

Hey there, bizi,

Thank you for your ongoing friendship and support. People like you make this forum what it should be - a safe, caring place.

I'm putting my account on vacation because of a problem on the forum that needs to be appropriately dealt with, but is not being properly handled, imo.

Take good care of yourself.
Love,
Beth

I have been working 6 days a week. which is fine because I love my job.
giving pedicures to the elderly in their homes. they are happy I am happy and I make a decent wage from this job.
I am drinking too much, and my weight is creeping up on me,
damn!
I am drinking a sour beer that I really like just discovered it.

It is called blueberry crumble. It is not too sour.
Maybe I will skip dinner, hubby is at a rehearsal so wont be home until 8:30 or quarter to 9. He plays in a big jazz band 18 member players.
he is home at 8pm. just now!!!!!!

Wow. That sure is interesting, Nammu. I know that antibiotics have gotten a bad rap, but I'm old-fashioned. I think a good round of an antibiotic can do wonders. And I'm only half-kidding.

That you love your job is so great, bizi. How old will I have to be so I can get a pedi in my home?

Beth raises an interesting question. Do your patients get covered by Medicare/medicaid or do they private pay? I never ran into anyone who provided your services in 11 years in healthcare. It's a very good, very needed service.

Insurance only pays if it is a nurse practitioner or podiatrist.
I am glad I can't bill for my services they pay me directly and reimbursements is not great from what a podiatrist shared with me.
There are foot care nurses all over the country.

One of my nephews got a bad case of cellulitis in both of his feet and was having a rough go of it for quite a while. He's 6'7" tall and had a very hard time with walking while his feet were being treated. At some point insurance paid for a nurse to come into his home and one of the services the nurse provided was pedicures. My nephew liked that, since he'd never had a pedicure before.
