I saw my pdoc today. She told me that he knew I was manic before he took me into her office. he told me that I had a crazed look on my face. (Thank you for the boost of confidence pdoc, lol)

I refuse to go back on lithium. Pdoc put me on abilify. So far it just made me sick to my stomach. I hope it kicks in quickly. Pdoc said if I get any higher they would hospitalize me.

I feel stupid know. I could not sit still in the office. I kept getting up and trying to leave. he kept saying no we are not done. he had me repeating everything back because I can't focus.

I have not been in an acute manic episode in a long time. Hopefull we can get it under control without hospitalization.

I hope you get better soon too. Being in the hospital is not the worst thing that can happen but I can understand it's preferable to avoid it because of the financial issues and time away from work/school issues. It is a good thing your doctor was perceptive enough to recognize the mania. I count on my therapist for recognizing my moods and the severity of them. Sorry about your reaction to Abilify I take a small dosage of it and it works well. Please recognize that we all care for you and keep posting while you work through this.

I am still manic. This abilify is doing nothing. I don't want to go to the hospital because my daughter has to see a specialist at a childrens hospital two hours away. I want to be there with her.

Contact you doctor and say that the Abilify isn't working. There are faster acting medications to treat mania.

PDoc is horrible about returning calls. I ended up in the ER. The only reason I did not get admitted is because they had no open beds. They sent me home with some 50 mg of seroquel. Like that is going to do any good. I took 500 mg in the past before it worked. I am still manic still not sleeping. I will try the pdoc again tomarrow.
