Has anyone taken risperidone and have it impact your heart rate/beat?

Last night, I took .5 mg instead of .25 mg of risperidone b/c of some intense hypomanic (maybe full on manic?) symptoms that seemed to be on the verge of kicking in. My pdoc had said I could do this if needed. But, when I woke up this morning, I could feel my heart beating in my chest-it felt kind of funny. And, for most of today, my heart rate has been high-it seems to be leveling out however.

I don't want to mess with heart things so will go back to .25 mg tonight even though I have noticed some small improvements in how grounded I feel today. I'll be able to ask my pdoc about this on Tuesday but was wondering if/what personal experiences people have had. And, what knowledge people have in general.

Hi Jane, I am not sure. I'd assume it would have the opposite effect.

Is the Wellbutrin new?

@insideoutsider, the wellbutrin is not new. My pdoc decided to change my med before I could see if it was a consistent symptoms. Oh well-I'm happy about the change.

Good, yeah, not sure - does anyone else have any ideas about risperidone and heart effects?
