Today I am feeling pretty good, but I know what is around the corner, it may be in the next 15 mins or the next hour or the next day who knows......I know for certain that I am going to fall off this "happymood" and I am worried because each time I go thru this cycling it gets worse, and so does the (SI). I am taking my meds but my Pdoc wants me to start taking Abilify, however I am unable to afford them, they are approx. $400/month. Not Sure what to do, today I feel like I can conquer the world but that will change and then I will be depressed/angry for while. I only have like a day/two days that I am happy everytime I start cycling. I can not deal with this anymore.

Hey purple,,,

Dont know if anybody else knows this but Omega 3x and B complex vitamins also help with bipolar/depression. Have you ever tried them? granted everybody is different but for me this is a good thing as ive gotten off all meds but one.

Also. did you try walmart? they have a 4 dollar prescription program and also there are a few healthcare FREE cards for drug discounts. pm me if you want more info. I have one of them.

Yes, I've tried the Omega and B Complex but to no avail they did not work. I checked on the walmart list and they do not have Abilify on it, it is still a new drug, my Pdoc is still trying to find a drug that is cost effective as well as seeing if she can get Abilify from the drug company at a lower cost or free for me. I am just so stressed out about this all. And like figured today my mood is very low, which is not good.

I have a prescription drug card. I'm going to check to see if its on there then I'm going to see if I can find another card that would help. Hang in there. I will be back to you via PM in just a bit. Maybe while I'm looking another member met have some insight.

Hang in there. Back in a bit

Hi Purple ...

I'm just a Mom who started reading the forums to learn how to help my daughter. She's bi-polar and is currently on Day 127 without SI.

She was told by her T and her doctor to start trying Stress-B vitamins and Omega-3 years ago ... but didn't until I insisted. They worked almost immediately for her but it took at least 6 months before I could tell any difference.

Seriously, please do some more research ... and try again? It's certainly less expensive than ANY of the prescription drugs, so you really don't have much to lose ... and everything to win. Of course, adding EXERCISE helps, too!

Good luck! Colleen will be back to you about those free prescription cards ... they're amazing. That FREE card saves her on her prescriptions, the doctor, and even the Worried dentist!

Good Mama
