i'm not sure if this is the right place to put this...but i'm assuming this is one of my irritating little bipolar symptoms...so i'll plump for here and sincere apologies to any poor mod who has to move it.

impulse control. it's driving me Impulse Control

i'll try to explain. my mood swings are legendary...and quick...and drive even me round the bend. like tonite...i had the sudden urge to delete my membership here, delete my myspace page, delete all my online accounts, block folks from my e-mail, unhook my fone and say...bleep the world.

so i lectured myself...over and over...you don't wanna do this, you'll hurt all your friends, you'll have to spend hours rebuilding pages etc, you'll hate yourself in the morning for being a ***** etc etc etc.

now i'm not sure when i started making myself fight stupid and sudden impulses and urges...coz i got amnesia grrrrrr...but...dang it's hard.

and i know this might seem like worrying about nothing to you all...but sometimes my impulses are dangerous to my own life and NOT so easy to fight!

and what's the point of this post?...oh geez i don't even know. advice, share stories, i don't really know but whatever i guess.

peace, love, hugs to you all.

Your impulses sound more powerful than anything I have ever experienced, but it's a good sign that you are able to talk yourself out of them to some extent.

I think if you have an impulse to harm yourself, that is a good sign to get immediate help. But you knew that.

The impulse control is my biggest issue besides the depression side. I really don't get all the "speeded-up" type symptoms of bipolar. But the impulsivity....definitely.

In the past, I have made some really bad decisions because of this.

Almost did last night. But not quite.

I get exactly the same way, too. Just wanna delete everyone from my life. I don't know how to control it...but I just usually get off the computer and go do some cleaning...that usually helps.

I know myself how dangerous some of the impulses can be. Please do what you need to to stay safe when the impulses hit you. You matter SO much!

Stay safe and take care.
