I was wondering if anyone knows about this mild form of bipolar disorder, and whether or not it is well-known in the psychiatric community.
I have been diagnosed with OCD for a while, but lately my OCD symptoms have been diminished and replaced with feeling of anxiety and depression. But I also get these "high" feelings that feel like a form of hypomania. I can fall into these strange cycles. I will feel anxious and depressed about a particular problem. But once that problem is worked out, I feel high as a kite...nearly giddy, really. I feel more positive about things than I normally do (generally I'm pretty cynical, even when I am not depressed or anxious). Right now I'm on 2mg's of clonozepam, which seems to dull this cycle. But I've always wondered if I'm suffering from something that nobody is diagnosing correctly. Basically, the sum of my symptoms seem to point to something like cyclothymia. Or do they? |
