Saw pdoc today. She didn't seem to understand most of what I was telling her about wanting to go lay down in the grass and enjoy the hyper-reality of things. However, she decided that I'm sort of in a medium level of up-n-downs- not completely manic as the meds are still doing their job- but not very well. I feel like I want to beat people up. Then go lay in the grass. But she did give me some blank stares- especially when I told her about not wanting to go to school and WHY. AND the itching! Ugh. So she put me on Risperdal (sp?) and I guess I'll try that tonight. Of course, maybe everything's more vivid than usual because I got new contacts. lol... I really was wanting to beat people up though. PLUS.... when I had just finished checking out, this woman in line to check out was STARING at me! Completely. And didn't even look away when I looked at her, so I glared at her.

p.s. This is the beginning of my day... http://forums.psychcentral.com/showp...32&postcount=1

Ignore my question on my last post about how your appt went lol. My son takes risperdal and it helps with his violent temper. I feel sometimes I need to be on it cause I get in moods where I wanna beat people up to. Everything little thing gets to but since I've been on Abilify it has helped ALOT. I hope this works for you. I'm very sorry she didn't really listen to you. Good Luck on the new med.

I took the new med a while back- maybe an hour ago? it certainly has calmed me. No more sobbing or seeing things. I checked out "An Unquiet Mind" from the library at the psych office. So far, it seems okay. I hope its not triggering. I'm also reading a book I bought a few years ago again- its called "Moreschi: The Last Castrato" by Nicholas Clapton.

I hate that blank look. Luckily I've never gotten it from my pdoc, but I told a new pcp on my first visit to him and he gave me the deer in the headlights look. Ugh.

You told your new pcp what- that you're bipolar? About the blank look? I sometimes think they are trained in some sort of reverse psychology to give that blank look so you go "Oh! I'm sorry- I am being an idiot. I see the error of my ways. All fixed now!" (Kinda like my BF.)

I told him I was bipolar and then the deer in the headlights look. He continued to stare blankly for the rest of the discussion I initiated about the bipolar, inability to see a pdoc due to insurance, and that I needed meds. I swear I must have been speaking a foreign language.
