Hi. I'm glad to see people are thinking of me! I'm around. I've been Christmas shopping, helping my youngest practice his choir music for concerts, etc. I've been doing okay, but tonight my boyfriend and I got in a fight. I'm not even sure what about- he said I want sex more than he does and then when we'd made up about that, he launched into why didn't I sign up for classes next semester yet. I feel so judged. Nevermind that today I found out that my insurance was cancelled when I did everying I was supposed to so that it WASN'T! I need to make yet ANOTHER phone call. I was so upset when the pharmacist told me that, that I broke down crying in the hallway on the way to see if I could talk with my pdoc about it. Not like me! I saw my pdoc by emergency chit-chat and her nurse and they gave me samples of depakote and lithium and I got celexa for $4 at the grocery store. We're going to taper me off very quickly from Depakote while upping the Lithium quickly. Lithium is going from 300 a day to 450 t0 600- all within a week so double within one week. Gonna be a bumpy ride. I just hope no emergencies happen. My KIDS aren't even insured now! Its a long story, but basically I feel like my application for medicaid is being thrown in the trash. I've dropped things off on time, brought in other papers... no resonse except from the state. THEY are at least sort of helpful. Meanwhile, I have all my mom things to do, including xmas stuff. School basically went out the window- I withdrew. I couldn't do it for some reason and that makes me feel horrible. Then my boyfriend is mad at me about it... One second he is asking me if I'd like to know more about photography and the next...

Hey Moose - good to hear you're around...shopping is time consuming at this time of year isn't it! You're lucky you can get your meds so cheap....I'm paying a fortune over here (oz)...Average $50.00 per pack...don't quite understand about all your insurance troubles but hope it works out. I think even though it makes you sad to drop out of school that perhaps it might be a good thing for the moment especially if your med's are being changed over ... you can always go back to it...As for the changeover of meds....I'm in the middle of that at the moment ... it's tough sometimes...my advice (for what it's worth) - warn your BF things could get bumpy until you settle into them....good luck....here's a hug from me to you to help you cope with the changeover

Thank you! I feel bumpy already... was over at bf's house crying easily. Coping skillys only half working. Lately I have been reading to occupoy my mind and even that my BF says I do too much of! I just started the first of the med changes tonight... upping the lithium a bit. Well let's put it this way about the insurance: I ask what the med will cost without it and depakote was 200 plus dollars U.S. With my state insurance it was zero. The pharmacies here sometimes will give common generic versions of drugs so that's how I got my celexa for 4 dollars. The lithium was 12 so that wasn't bad. But as for depakote I am relyinig on this small sample and hope it works out. I freaked out at the thought of having to just stop my meds cold turkey. Not a pretty picture. Asthma meds are expensive, too- but at least I have some rescue iinhalers laying around and a couple preventative ones still.

Wow the cost of meds is expensive there too! Figures I s/pose. Stopping them though completely would DEFINITELY not be a good idea...keep perserving. There is no doubt it will be difficult but just ignore any negative comments from anyone (including the BF) and just do what you feel like doing to keep yourself going while you undergo the changeover.
Good luck!

Now today I started my period! Accounts for maybe some of the moodiness... Need to get pads.

Good news is, though, that my little one's first choir concert is tonight! His little outfit is all ironed and ready to go. Hehe.... http://www.aaboychoir.org/ He's going to be one of the little ones in front. More concerts next weekend.
