Hello
Getting mad is a behaviour nearly all the population experiences at one time or another in their life. Its how you deal with it is when it may become a problem especially if we take it inside us or lash it out on the people we love. What are you trying to cope with? Is there another way to look at the problem that triggers your mood? When we feel mad it may also be an inner conflict we maybe feeling unheard, or neglected in some way, we may feel like we are not getting our own way, ask yourself some inner questions about the way you are feeling at the moment. Can you talk to someone when you are feeling like this if not stop being so hard on yourself, do something nice for yourself that always cheers me up. Talking is great therapy as well.
I wish you well.

I do that too. I call them my "blurt-outs." I'll say or write inappropriate things. I did it at work when I was in a mixed state & wrote a note when I got very irritated at a co-worker who kept making stupid mistakes that I had to correct. She wrote me a note back that "when you are perfect (meaning me)" she will take my comments into consideration.

I told my husband what I wrote & he said I was way out of line & that I was causing a lot of tension in what had been a friendly working relationship & that I had to apologize. I did write her a note saying I had been under a lot of stress that day & I was sorry I took it out on her & that I appreciated her & enjoyed working with her & asked her to please accept my apology. She & I do have a great working relationship & are friends, but I could have really created a lot of problems with that impulsive venting I did.

Sometimes when we read something in a chat we just have to comment on it especially when it triggers an emotion in us. You aren't mean and I've spoke with you before in chat. I can understand why you're feeling this way....don't beat yourself up.

I've felt the same way too.

Being irritable and aggressive is common on both ends of the bipolar spectrum. I always thought I was a pretty mellow guy, but after to talking to some old friends lately I think I was probably a jerk. Very distressing. I had to take anger management classes, which were very helpful. It's something you learn to manage over time, just like the rest of this stupid disease. When you blow it, you just have to move on, que sera, sera.

We love you, Halliebeth. Maybe you made a mistake, but you've been such a good friend to so many people here over the years, including me. Thank you!
