Recently, I was assessed by a CBT and it will be taken up to the panel soon to decide which therapy that I will be in for sessions. I don't know if you had heard that before, if so I would be happier to hear from you. One of the therapies they have called C.A.T (cognitive analytic therapy) and I'm wondering if any of you have/had beneficial from it or not?

CBT is a type of therapy so I imagine you were assessed by a therapist who practices that kind of therapy. I think CAT is kind of a subset of CBT and a UK sort of therapy. Here's their association's website explanation:

many thanks perna and that info website is very clear and useful so I guess I will have to wait for the letter from the psych team to confirm the appt for CAT therapy.
