Hey everyone my name is Patti. I am 23 years old and living with BPD. I am very interested in finding a chat room or a pen pal with someone who has BPD. Does anyone know of any other BPD communities or is psychcentral the best? Thanks!

Hi, I could use a pen pal myself. I have been dealing with this for some time now and getting it out helps. Also reading the posts on here I see I'm not alone. I can relate with a lot of what I've read. I'm glad this site is here.

I drop the ball in daily emails (lose energy in keeping up with the relationship--I hope you understand it...I do think it's a bpd thing...)...I've learned that about myself...so I'm not volunteering to penpal, but I've been here everyday since I joined. I don't always post (but I post a lot ) , so I'm here....and I read every post. And there's my PM, too...

I find this forum invaluable. I would also love to be your pen pal, but like bpd2 I am a bit inconsistent

I am better with the PMs then I am emails. I think this thread is very helpful and the people here are supportive and understanding. I did not know there was a weekly chat - I'll have to look into that. Anyone else have more info on that?

I have borderline personality disorder and schizophrenia and so does my sister inlaw im 25 she is 39 i think its actually very beneficial to have some one to be completely honest with and its great for me because my sis inlaw has more experience dealing with these disorders she always says "been there done that... but this might help"

Rejuvenating an old thread... I'd like a BPD penpal myself! 31-year-old female, alternative (tats, piercings, dreads), loves cats, battling alcohol addiction, loosely employed with various freelance journalism/art tutoring jobs but just earning pocket money (sigh), taking online DBT classes, waiting once again on a 90-year waiting list for a crap NHS therapist who I'll only desert in disgust after the first session anyway... I really need a boost and someone to talk to regularly because there's no one in my life who really "gets" my BPD. I'm in the UK so if you want to do it snailmail it would be good if you were too.

Hi Patti,

I would also love to have someone to talk with. I am 26 years old and also living with BPD. I think it would be nice to have someone to talk with that can relate with the struggles I face.
If you wanna chat just let me know

I would love someone to be an e-mail penpal with. I'm a 31 year old transgender guy (female transitioned to male) and I love theatre and performing and writing poetry and music. Would love to talk to someone with similar struggles, including building strong lasting friendships and dealing with that low sense of self esteem and fear of abandonment that almost makes you regress into not being able to do things on your own any more. I've been struggling through a university degree and have more years to go because I'm taking it very slow.

Would love to e-mail penpal with someone who understood. Heart to hearts are fine by me.

PM me for my e-mail.

hey this sounds such s great idea! I'd be up for this too, I'm a 37yo male from Hertfordshire in the UK,
my regular interests are music (alternative & rock), movies (will watch most things) and retro gaming, many tattoos, no piercings anymore.
and think this'll be a great idea by helping me by helping someone else!
pm if interested! Looking for a BPD pen pal!

I could use a pen pal. I am 47, live alone with my dog, so I am not alone really. everybody around me don't really understand what it's like having BPD. My sister is Bipolar and they say I am too. So if you would like chatting with an older person/woman I would be honored. Amber

Just re-stating that if ANYONE in this thread wants to be an e-mail penpal, I'd be totally down.

I'm very new here, so I'm not allowed to PM, but I'd be happy to be your penpal! I just need to make three posts first...

I wouldn't mind either. I have very few people who understand what I go through each day. I have such a strong fear of abandonment. Even though I push people away.
I'm a 40 y/o female. I have 1 daughter who is 9. I love to read, music, writing, and watching movies.
PM me if interested.

Hi, my name is Vicky, I too have BPD and no one I know truly gets it. It's hard isn't it. I agree with you with the waiting list to receive decent treatment. Hope you do get the help you need and deserve. Here to talk. Would like to actually become pen5pals. With real pen and paper haha
