for those who have been in DBT, obviously. What was your personal experience with the end of that therapy? The timing of it, the reasons, your feelings, whatever you want to share.

I'll just add that I'm in DBT currently, and looking at it ending sometime soon, and that's what prompts my question.

I was in DBT a couple of years ago (I think it was that long, can't remember). I was in longer than the 12 months that was planned. At the end of DBT, the therapists would give us a small stone as a reminder of our journey in DBT and we were allowed to talk, we passed the stone around, everybody said their wishes, and that was the end.

I felt really lost when my DBT group ended, but that could be because my depression was still very out of control.

I am in DBT again (because I have a lot of memory loss from ECT), not sure what the end of it will bring this time.
