I haven't been officially diagnosed with BPD and I don't mean to self diagnose but both my boyfriend and I were reading through the symptoms and I couldn't believe how much it sounded like me.
I also read there is usually a lot of misdiagnosis before coming to the conclusion of BPD. Also, any treatments I've seen are incredibly expensive. I don't know what to do. |

Well...coming here is a very good start. You can kinda sit back and watch, and ask questions. It can be cured/fixed with DBT or CBT therapy. Hopefully you have insurance in which case it's not so bad. Finding a therapist that is a good fit, can be hard, you just need to shop around. My first two therapists didn't make me do any work. The one I have now did, and I'm all the better for it.!

This must be a great time of confusion for you. BPD is a controversial diagnosis and usually a lot of people find it takes a long time to get their disorder properly recognised. Im not sure where your from but please go and see your doctor to see whether you require assessment and hopefully from there you will be referred to a team that can offer you the appropriate treatment. DBT can be very hard to access - i myself have been diagnosed for over a year and still can't get on a treatment programme. Don't give up though - u just need to keep pushing and eventually you will get what you need. In the mean time feel free to post whatever questions you have on here or if you just want to vent we're all ears. Good luck
