Sorry to hear your feeling this way...

Is there anywhere you could go for a long walk? Do you maybe have a special place you could go to where you can heal emotionally?

How about a special friend you could visit? Someone once suggested to me that i go to a pet shelter or pet shop and look at puppys - it melts your heart and distracts you for a little while. Maybe just try surrounding yourself with comforting things - maybe order takeout, put on a good movie and some comfy pyjamas etc just anything where your taking care of yourself and nursing whatever hurt your currently feeling. Hope you feel better soon

Is there anything that has worked for you in the past? I made this poster that I drew pictures of things that I like to do and try to use them at the moment.
BBQ; take a bath & light candles (candle light only) & eat a bowl of your favorite ice cream with chocolate on it (or your favorite topping!); Walk (w/dog too); play cards; listen to your favorite CD; bake; read a hystorical romance book; rest; use a word find puzzle; & your own ideas.

I have even made an emergency basket for these occassions. I keep my safety plan in there along with a small bottle of bubble bath (to remind me of that option), a small candle, favorite scents that soothe me, crosssword/sudoku puzzles, blank paper to remind me to write, crochet needles, a favorite recipe, etc.

Trying to find what works for you will come to you.

How about a cuddle with your two kids? Just curl up on the sofa with them and perhaps watch a little tv? A duvet and ice cream definately helps lol Really hope you feel better soon
Thanks for this!

I was gonna take the girls to the new pool tonight but found out the kids area is closed till the weekend so i think my duvet is in the dryer at home and i have soup in the crockpot.. so after a nice warm soup i may snuggle up with the girls with a bowl of ice cream or something rather and my clean duvet! Thanks!!

Not ridiculous at all. A fact. Some have more energy somehow than others too. We would be millionaires if we could find the 'exhaustion' solution. Even not having the current responsibilities that you have, I have a difficult time allowing time for those quiet, relaxing moments and projects/hobbies. I do what I can. I often start something and keep what I started out to continue on tomorrow. I decided that I don't have to try and finish everything in one blow.

But, it doesn't hurt to have that 'emergency to-do basket' handy, though.
Snuggling with young children sounds so nice/warm. Mine are too old now for me to have that option. I can sure remember those days though. Very much a happy place in the mind for me.
