Give suggestions on small/cheap/free ideas, to help us feel good, or even treat some of them as 'rewards'.

Face mask
Paint your nails
Drawing
Painting
Writing
Go out and take scenic pictures
Have a bubble bath
Take a walk
Listen to your favourite up-beat music and dance like no tomorrow
Sing along to your favourite music
Buy a new CD/DVD/movie/video game
Go see a movie
Go to the beach
Go to the park
Buy that new T-Shirt you wanted
Buy a new app for your Android/iPhone
Play a video/computer/mobile phone game (may I suggest www.transformice.com, it's so simple yet so fun)

What I usually do is.. When I haven't had the most productive day and I feel kind of bad about just sitting on my *** the whole day - I give myself a little goal. Something I can achieve. Whether it is to help a friend or some stranger or go and walk three miles or cook dinner. Or even get to another level on WoW. And I always feel ten times better after achieving that goal - no matter how small it was to begin with. The feeling of pride is the key.

Thank you for reminding me, again, that living it up is not a lost cause! We deserve it.

Just plain remind yourself every minute that you are okay!

You are okay!

You are okay!

You are okay!

It works.

Who else is going to tell us, sometimes?

We have to tell ourselves we are okay. Esp when we believe we are not okay.

Not really, it's OK to not be OK, and you're entitled to complain :P If you do that, then that's where you're going wrong. My DBT therapist tells me off all the time for just pretending to myself that I'm fine.

I did not realize that I came off like th at.

I meant, "I am okay as a person." Should have thought. Sorry.

I messed up.

it's okay to not be okay, too. to not feel okay.

I also watch Disney movies. Or just like.. Children movies. Because those are easy to understand (so you don't have to put much thought to what's going on) and they're really just feel-good type movies. My fav are Winnie the Pooh and Lion King.

or I'll watch something that's guaranteed to make me laugh.

Remind myself that life only s*cks one day at a time. Get out of my home, call a good friend, and watch a movie with a lot of action.

This is a thread about ideas on how to make yourself feel good, you might want to make your own thread to get an appropriate response.

I got one:

tell yourself today is a new day. It's a cliche, but it worked today.

I did not feel like going to my meeting today and I went anyway. "Just because I had some rotten days last week does not mean they will always be rotten!"

I laughed at myself, too, for generalizing my life agian.
