So...I just figured I'd lighten things up a bit.

I surf around PC on my laptop and I'm always doing something else, whether it's listening to music, watching TV, or visiting Facebook. (I know, not very mindful of me.) How about you? What are you doing?

Right now I'm hanging out here on PC while watching The Big Bang Theory. I love that show. Sheldon cracks me up--BAZINGA!

laying in bed, eating ice cream that i made. ive been obsessed with ice cream making...specifically ice cream in a bag. it's a fun, easy, quick way to make ice cream and it comes out amazing. perfectly smooth & creamy.

ive had a pretty emotionally straining day. from the moment i woke up. so, ice cream helps...a little anyway.

i love the big bang theory! that show is a riot!

Mmmmm, ice cream! You just reminded me that I have some in the freezer.

Yeah, TBBT is too funny. I find myself identifying with those guys a little too much sometimes...

Just finished on a little housework and I'm checking out PC before I work a bit on a writing project. It's that time of night that the lonelies hit a bit...but that's almost a nightly occurance and it's been worse. I'll be okay.

I'm sitting here watching afternoon TV and finishing that ice cream that youwillrise reminded me of--chocolate peanut butter. Mmmmm, so good. It's cold here in Michigan though, so I have to follow it up with a nice, warm cup of tea.

YUM! That sounds really good. I'm drinking some Irish Breakfast tea. Real Irish Breakfast tea from Ireland (Barry's, if there are any Irish people on here). Got it in the "ethnic foods" aisle at the grocery store and it's surprisingly inexpensive and much tastier than the American black tea. It's nice and strong.

How do you make vegan ice cream?

i use almond milk & coconut cream as a base (coconut cream is just solidified coconut milk w/ the liquid drained out of it. you can probably buy coconut cream somewhere, but i just get coconut milk, let it solidify and then drain the liquid)

and then i use untreated, raw sugar...or now, i'm going to try a new (natural) sweetener (gonna see how erythritol, which is a sugar alcohol that comes from various fruit plants and other such things... and also trying coconut palm sugar to see how they work out)...i think the regular sugar is causing me problems.

make sure to get any vegan versions of ingredients you plan to use.

the process is pretty much the same as when you make regular ice cream. you can do it by hand, using an ice cream machine or my favorite way...IN A BAG! haha

making ice cream in a bag is really easy (you can do it with dairy or non-dairy, of course)

i blend my ingredients in a blender, then i pour it into a small ziplock back (quart sized), then i put lots of ice and salt in a larger (gallon sized) ziplock bag...put the small bag in the large bag, make sure they're both closed really well and shake shake shake!

the texture comes out perfectly. ive made handmade ice cream and put hours and hourrrrrrs into it and it has never come out with such a great, creamy texture as it does when i make it in a bag. 10ish minutes and it's done. if you like your ice cream hard, you can stick it in the freezer for a bit. i like mine soft, so i eat some right away
Thanks for this!

first off i'd love to say that i l.o.v.e LOVE sheldon and TBBT! and that the vegan ice cream sounds sooo good, i'm gonna talk to my mom about that! i also love a lot of skillets music. right now..i'm personally impatintly waiting for my stepdad to hurry cutting up the chicken so i can cook it and do all the other stuffs. while also talking to people on msn and i'm an avid writer in the roleplay forum world so i'm trying to distract myself from that by browsing PC (: fun times

relaxing for a bit before i get back to my new rowing machine HUZZAH

trying not to think of anything negative. including the inevitable visit we're going to get from father-in-law and his mother because of husband's bday tomorrow, and the fact that this house looks horrible...going to see about keeping them out of it, hahahaah...

excited about therapy, assessment was yesterday and i enjoy talking to my T, he's pretty neat, looks like a young Christopher Lloyd (Doc Brown from Back to the Future) and even named Chris xD it's hilarious. he seems kind of eccentric like the Doc too xD just great

crochet group yesterday afternoon went AWESOME and we got pretty far on our lessons...

rowing machine W0000T off i go, being hyper because i'm on that natural exercise high! yuss!

30 more minutes and i'm done for the day. but might add some in later tonight too...couldn't hurt

You can still find it, and with health food being in the forefront now, there are others to choose from as well.

ive tried tofutti. ive tried various store brand vegan ice creams. some pretty good tasting and have different bases (coconut, soy, almond, or a mix etc). i dont eat soy anymore. i prefer to make my own, though. much better!

Working hard on a new blog project that I'm really excited about. Been trying to get a particular book project published for over a year with no one really showing interest. It is recommended to start a blog and if you're able to attact a lot of followers that publishers are sure to follow, so I'm working hard and crossing my fingers.
