Does anyone else get stressed out by their birthday? I'm getting really stressed out by my upcoming birthday I think because it's making me take inventory of who's in my life, and I'm always insecure about not having people in my life and not being important to anyone (probably stems from feeling rejected by my own dysfunctional family.) Last year I turned 30 and I had fun planning my own party and celebrating with everyone I knew, but I guess I was in a better place last year and had friends and a crush that I thought were going somewhere (neither went anywhere...)

I think I feel bad not that I have to plan my own party but because I don't have any person in my life who's involved enough in my life to ask what I'm doing for my birthday, or even better ask what are we doing. I've just always wished I had someone who was my "go-to" person, who I knew would always be there for every weekend and every holiday and every event. I just wish I felt important to someone.
