Let's say it's Saturday morning, and we have no plans for the day. When trying to come up with something to do....

She is terribly put off and inconvenienced by the ideas that others have, because they don't take her into consideration.

She is terribly put off and bothered when everyone doesn't happily jump on board 100% with her ideas.

When we all do go along with her ideas, she seems to not notice that we aren't really enjoying it. And if she does notice that we aren't enjoying it, she concludes that we are not being very kind to her.

The next weekend she will offer no suggestions. So whatever we end up doing further confirms that we don't care about her because she had no input.

All of this contributes to her feeling invisible.

It is my wife. She says I just don't understand. I'm trying to understand. I don't think it is very easy to say "Honey, I think you may have Borderline Personality Disorder." So I want to be fairly certain before I attempt to communicate that with her.

I would post to the partners forum -- via the link I posted. People with wives, husbands and other loved ones post there in the same situation.
