Hi everyone.

I wanted to see what your experiences are with Group Therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy. From what I understand these are two therapies that are helpful to BPD individuals. Did you enjoy these methods? Was it helpful? What did you like and did not like?

When I was seeing a therapist, they recommended that I go to a support group for anxiety. I'm just a bit scared of the possibility of sitting in a room with strangers and being asked to open up about things that I rarely talk about.

Thanks

The group I was in was the skills portion of DBT. We learned about the different skills and practiced them. We did not go into deep details of what each of us were dealing with.

Not sure what other people's experience has been but I learned a lot and what I learned has helped me.
