So my therapist mentioned borderline in our last session. I recently got diagnosed bipolar 2, so now I'm freaking out about adding another label to my identity. BPD has a bad rep and I'm not sure how to handle it. (even tho i live it and know i probably am) i'm still having a hard time.
How did you guys handle getting diagnosed at first?

First of all, don't think of yourself as the BPD person. I think I've done better with my disorder when I don't label myself as such.

Secondly, get educated about it. Self awareness is hugely important in treating BPD and getting better.

Best of luck!
