I seem to have a problem with apologizing all the time, especially when I meet someone new. I apologize for things that I absolutely know I don't need to apologize for. To me, this is a classic symptom of BPD. Anyone out there agree with me?

Actually I'm not like that at all. I hardly want to or think I need to apologies when I do something, unless I feel scared or have anxiety about it, I might instinctively say it. Or else I never say sorry for anything I do, neither if I were to get caught fibbing. I guess it's just a prideful thing for me though. A lot of times I feel I'd be seen as week if I said sorry to someone, so I just keep it to myself to say 'whatever' and carry on with life. I don't feel like I should regret anything so I move on and forget.

Sometimes.

But unfortunately I have the "it's everyone else's fault" kind of thinking sometimes .....

Hmm, I tend to apologize when I don't need to, even to inanimate objects (or I feel bad for them if something happens or they don't get to serve their purpose), yet I have a really hard time apologizing when I actually need to. Not sure why either of those happen.

I apologize all the time, because I'm always worried that I irritate people or say stupid things. My best friend has told me I'm not allowed to apologize anymore because it's annoying
