I am feeling really good about my DBT sessions and about the whole theory. I hope you all get the chance to work it through. Don't give up. Some things just might not be a good fit for you, but overall I think it's an opportunity not to be missed.
I will be finished all 4 modules by Christmas. I really don't know what happens then. Must ask my therapist. to all

Thanks for this!

Great news! I know it was a struggle for you at first, I am glad you stuck it out.

I'm so glad you're doing so well! If you stick with it, it really does help tremendously. As for what happens after you graduate... well, you'll probably still remain in therapy for a while for skills reinforcement, but you'll be so much better off than if you hadn't had the DBT! At least that was all true in my case. And, word to the wise... even if DBT doesn't seem to be working out for you, GIVE IT A CHANCE! I didn't think it was right for me at first either, and then I ended up doing so well.

Kudos to you, Jean!

I have tried it for 2 years. I was hoping it would help get a better life. It did not. Now I just keep using DT all day everyday this is not a life worth living. It has been 2 years -doing homework practicing skills - nothing. IT is just too late to get any REAL money making nice career goals reached. I will retire very poor. I have 3 non-money making get out of poverty college degrees. Works for some but NOT all people.
